"We chose the Heeton Concept Hotel – Luma Hammersmith for a three-night stay in London, and I must say that it surprised us right from check-in: the room was already ready a full two hours ahead of the scheduled time, clean and fragrant, a detail that really makes a difference after a trip.
It is a boutique hotel with a modern and modular design, with standards of comfort and cleanliness very close to those we are used to in Italy. The interiors tastefully blend a contemporary aesthetic and industrial details, in a tribute to the historic Osram light bulb factory that arose in this area. A significant plus is the availability of comfortable family rooms, capable of accommodating up to 6 people: perfect for those traveling with the whole family.
Making the stay even more pleasant was Mari, the receptionist: very kind, empathetic and always attentive to our needs, with the welcome surprise of speaking perfect Italian! She gave us valuable advice on the neighborhood and made us feel at home from the very first moment, a real added value for those looking for a human and never standardized welcome.
The Hammersmith area confirms itself as a perfect base for exploring London: lively, authentic, with the charm of the banks of the Thames just a few steps away. Walking in the evening among typical pubs and glimpses of the river, you breathe a very London atmosphere, far from the chaos of the center but close to the elegant neighborhoods of Kensington, Notting Hill and Fulham, all just a few minutes away.
And it is precisely the location that is the real strong point of the property: the Piccadilly Line metro is just a few minutes' walk away and takes you directly to Heathrow airport in just 30 minutes, very convenient both on arrival and departure. The Circle Line and District Line also pass through Hammersmith station, so you have all of London literally at your fingertips. A few steps away is also the bus station, from which you can set off to discover the city on board the characteristic double-deckers: a truly pleasant experience. For those who want to visit Hyde Park or the main museums, 20 minutes by subway is enough, while Buckingham Palace can be reached in a quarter of an hour.
The rooms, modern and essential, are equipped with everything you need: air conditioning, flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities. The Grab & Go breakfast is ideal for those who have full days: croissants, yogurt, juices, and hot drinks to start with the right energy. The hotel does not have a real breakfast room, but you can take what you need and enjoy it in your room, at the tables available outside, or while walking around the city.
On the day of departure, we really appreciated the free luggage storage, which allowed us to enjoy London until the last minute without any worries.
In summary: well-kept design, exceptional staff (thanks again, Mari!), strategic location, and that feeling of authentic hospitality that is rarely found in hotels of this style. We will definitely be back."
