"I was really looking forward to staying here, but unfortunately my experience was poor from start to finish.
I booked directly through the hotel's website, expecting a smooth and secure experience.
On arrival, the first room I was given was unacceptable. It was dirty, had a strong mildew smell, and the balcony door would not lock properly, which was a significant security concern. To their credit, the hotel did move me to another room after I raised the issue, but I shouldn't have had to start my stay by changing rooms.
Throughout my stay there was construction noise from to 6pm which made it difficult to relax.
The location is ok but there are better hotels located in the same area. There were no toiletries like a shower cap etc that you’d expect and no iron in the room.
The final straw came on the morning I was checking out, when I found a cockroach in my bathroom. I reported it to reception, but the response I received was simply, "OK." There was no apology, no concern, and no acknowledgement of how unacceptable this was. The dismissive attitude was almost as disappointing as finding the cockroach itself.
To make matters worse, after returning home I received an email informing me that information relating to my reservation had been accessed by an unauthorised third party through the hotel's booking system. As someone who booked directly through the hotel's own website, it was extremely disappointing to learn that my reservation details had been affected.
Overall, this stay fell far below expectations. Between the dirty initial room, the need to switch rooms, the faulty balcony door, construction noise, finding a cockroach in my bathroom, the dismissive response from staff, and then receiving a data breach notification after my stay, I cannot recommend this hotel. There are many better options in Lisbon, and I certainly won't be returning."
