Check-In – Our reservation was for 10 nights but only 7 nights were in system
Other information provided to Travel Agency was not carried over into reservation E.g. Silver Anniversary, etc.
- Our Check-in was not fully completed on arrival day - No deposit was taken when we Checked-in causing us an embarrassing moment when we could not put our drinks on our room & 7 nights into our vacation our keycards didn’t work anymore
- It is very loud in the vicinity of the Reception Desk and often very difficult to communicate with staff members – Music and noise from Lobby / Lower-level restaurant was too loud

+ The Hotel layout was explained but no Diagram or Map of the hotel layout was provided at Check-in
+ Received 2x Keycards at Check-In
+/- Lobby:
+ Lobby with bar – Large and Spacious
– Music and noise from Lobby / Lower-level restaurant was too loud
- The In-house drink / sundry shop items were too expense. - The strange self-service machine only accepted Credit Cards – luckily there was a nearby Super Market (2 min walk).
+ Other High-End Shops in the Lobby
+/- No evening entertainment except on Sundays in the Oceania Restaurant
- No Photo Night – Where as a photographer is present at the Hotel to take photos of those hotel guest that want one or more photos
+/- Housekeeping:
- Housekeeping carts and other items in the middle and on both side of the floor in the hallway – blocking the way
- Our Housekeeper was ‘Nalin’ he did a good job of keeping our room in order and supplied with towels
- 5th Floor Outside Terrance:
- Chairs and Sofas dirty from Bird Crap
- Long blonde hair on sofa
- Paper on the floor
- Menus worn and dirty
- Everything on the table looked used including the ‘No smoking’ sign

- Bathtub high sides getting in & out danger

- No towel environmental program – all towels were replaced everyday
+ Enough towels and requested extra towels everyday

- Some mornings No Ketchup
- No Mustard for the sausages
- 1st morning no Skim Milk. - While there are signs next to each of the 3 milk containers, the containers themselves were not marked. On some days the position of the milk containers where different, leading one to question and suspect that the signs might have been misplaced and that the containers were therefore incorrectly marked

+/- Some items that belong together should be placed together while some were not
- Items should always be in the same place. Guest are creatures of habit and they get used to finding an item in one location and when it isn’t, they think it is NOT available, but it is available but at another location at the buffet
++ Sitting outside for Breakfast
+ System to label tables as occupied, especially for person alone at the Breakfast Buffet, - however the system was not always used
+/- Dinner:
+ Buffet Style – Some food from the hot buffet was cold by the time one returned to their table
- Reservation every night required? According to the information sheet provided at Check-in reservations were required for dinner every night, but the reception seemed to think it was unnecessary. Which is it?
- Dinner starts at 19:00, too late – 18:00 would be better
- Some nights no Ketchup available
- No Mustard – Only one night with the mini hamburgers was mustard available and it was provided in a primitive method – served in a bowl with a spoon
+ The food was very good
+ The food selection never repeated itself in the 10 days we were there
- However, some items were never served and some were not served plain but in combination, a mixture, or what I call a fancy way. E.g. Lasagna was never served, but every other kind of noodle was with tomato sauce. Although rice was available a few times: once without a sauce and once with curry sauce, it was never served with any other sauces. Plus, instead of just simply hamburgers, the mini-hamburgers were served with onions. The onion could have been served next to the hamburgers
+ Many selections of Beef, Lamb, Pork and various kinds of Fish
+ Potatoes served were either wedges, buttered, baked – French fries were offered once in the 10 days – Or one took them from the Children’s Buffet
- Utensils – Sometimes the utensils located next to the food item was inappropriate to serve the food. E.g. Big fork for the cheese instead of a tong. A tong would have allowed for more precise handling without dropping food items. Since the rice had only one sauce next to it available, I tried to get some sauce for one of the meat dishes, but the serving tong/spoon had holes in the spoon and I couldn’t obtain any sauce only more meat
- We might have eaten at the Blue Elephant but from approx. 37 Euros per meal per person credit we would only get 20 Euros per person credited towards our meals at the Blue Elephant
+ Paying for drinks was complicated. The first night we paid in cash at our table, only after we asked. Either one paid for them at the table or at the restaurant desk in cash or on the room. And just when we thought we had it figured out since no deposit was taken when we Checked-in causing us an embarrassing moment when we could not put our drinks on our room
- Glass of Coke Zero for 4 Euro was very small
+ Most employees at the Oceania Restaurant were friendly – however there were a few that were not
+ Since, the buffet had both Beef Wellington and Brisket, on one occasion, I was able to try both
+ Garden & Pools:
+ Pool Chairs – Very comfortable and strong
+ System to check and reserve Pool Chairs
+ Fair Policy for clearing Pool Chairs when not used
+ We always found at least two pool chairs empty
+ Pool Service to obtain a pool chair, to obtain a sun umbrella, get a sun umbrella opened, assistance, etc.
+ Towel service + no resistance when asking for more than 1 towel per person
