Mangias Santa Teresa Sardinia Curio Collection by Hilton

"I stayed for one week in early October at Mangia’s Santa Teresa Curio Collection by Hilton, and it is a wonderful place for those seeking peace, quiet, and a true nature retreat. The hotel offers many spacious areas where everyone can find a spot that suits them, as well as several different beaches nearby – ranging from completely wild and untouched to more traditional, serviced beaches. This variety is a big advantage. The staff and housekeeping do an excellent job, and the food in the restaurant is tasty. The dessert selection is very rich, although the variety of vegetables could be broader. By late October, some of the restaurants were already closed due to lower occupancy, and the pool water was quite cold. The tennis courts also seemed somewhat neglected – it looked like no one had played there for a while, the rackets were of poor quality, and the balls were worn out. However, the staff pleasantly surprised us by purchasing and delivering new tennis balls within an hour, which showed great responsiveness and care. One of the biggest highlights of this stay was the yoga and meditation sessions led by Jessica Manente. Her classes felt like an unexpected, special, and very subtle gift for every guest. Each session was different and thoughtfully adapted to the needs of the participants. I truly believe the hotel is very lucky to have such a teacher. Overall, a beautiful place to slow down, reconnect with nature, and relax – especially outside the high season."

"Such a beautiful hotel in an incredible location, surrounded by nature and crystal-clear water — the perfect place to relax and unwind. The rooms are elegant, stylish, and super comfortable. Breakfast was amazing – great variety, fresh ingredients, and absolutely delicious. The hotel is partly renovated, so the pool area looks completely different (and much better!) than in the online photos. They also have a separate adults-only pool, which was perfect for peaceful moments away from the crowds. I have to mention the smell of the bathroom amenities – the shower gel, body cream, and soap smelled so beautiful! I honestly don’t remember ever staying anywhere that smelled this good. The towels and bathrobes were soft and luxurious, and the whole experience felt truly 5-star. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sardinia — pure perfection from start to finish!"

"We stayed here for 1 night because the ferry to Corsica was cancelled due to rough weather. The girl on reception was lovely and very helpful but it all went downhill once we got to our room. The room was tiny, no room for suitcases, we didn’t want to unpack seeing as we were only staying for 1 night, there is a desk in the room but no chair and not enough room from the end of the bed to the desk. There were tea and coffee making facilities and ironing equipment which made a nice change to other places we’ve stayed in. The bed was wonderful as were the pillows. The bathroom had a big gap in the ceiling and we couldn’t work the soap dispenser in the shower. I’m glad we didn’t want to switch on the balcony light as I would have been electrocuted! The food was very average, breakfast was the same old stuff you get at every Italian hotel with the exception of fried eggs and pancakes. There is no where else to eat in the local area so it was just as well breakfast was included. The other food is extortionately expensive, €19 for a very small (equivalent to half a sandwich) club sandwich with no accompanying fries or anything, €5 for a can of Coke Zero, although they did provide ice and lemon, the service was good. We had to have dinner there as there was no other alternative it was €40 per person, for very average buffet fare, then when we checked out we were charged 10% per person on top for service in the buffett!!! ……. there was NO service…. It’s a buffet FFS!!! Although the hotel and amenities are very pleasant it’s not worth €374.00 per night for what we had."
