"We just stayed for one night but all went well. Our room was large and well looked after. Other parts of the hotel clearly need some updating. Breakfast was ok. Location was good, close to the Rome Termini railway station."

"It’s definitely not a 4 star hotel (3 at the maximum) and not as central as we’d hoped for but it is within a 25 to 30 minute walking distance to Trevi fountain in one direction and the Colosseum in the other. The rooms are very small and the one allocated to us did not look anything like the picture in the advert. We had to also wait for the room for a long time - on arrival. This was extremely tiring after an early morning flight. The first room we were given was awful and smelled of cigarette smoke and when you opened the window it opened onto a courtyard that looked quite dirty. We asked to change it and the staff obliged but not without making us wait for a while once again 😔 But the second room was a much better room with a better view. I also wouldn’t recommend breakfast - there are restaurants within walking distance with nicer food and coffee. Staff at the hotel were friendly but seemed bored and not as interested especially when we requested things - it either took a while to get something or a request was ignored..(probably because they meet so many tourists passing through in high numbers?) I would not recommend the hotel unless you’re on a short stay and don’t mind the state of the rooms or overall service. You may be lucky to be allocated a room that looks like the ones advertised."

"Awful. My wife and I booked Hotel Gambrinus. They made us walk 10 minutes to Hotel Oxford instead?? Not what we paid for. I travel around 100 days a year and this was the worst hotel I’ve been in. The smallest rooms you’ll ever see, literally had to hop over my bag to get to the bathroom. The smallest elevator you’ll ever see and doesn’t go past the second floor. DO NOT STAY HERE. Absolute scam"
