"Terrible Experience – Filthy Rooms, Poor Maintenance, and Dismissive Staff
I rarely write negative reviews, but our stay at 7Seasons Apartments Budapest was unacceptable and ruined the end of our trip.
We paid more than double the price compared to most other places in the area, expecting high quality and great value for our money. Instead, we paid a premium for a place that was simply unfit for living.
We arrived after an exhausting 20-hour flight from Asia, completely jet-lagged. Upon check-in, we were given a room in appalling condition—the walls were scribbled on, and the furniture was completely worn out and outdated. We asked to change rooms and were forced to pay an extra fee to move to a slightly larger room.
At first glance, the second room seemed okay, and being completely exhausted, we just went to sleep. However, by the second night, we were horrified by what we discovered:
Insects & Dirt: There were spiderwebs, ants, and cockroaches in the room.
Lack of Cleaning & Maintenance: The sofa was broken, the furniture was ancient, and it felt like the room hadn't been deep-cleaned or maintained in months. To make matters worse, the bedsheets had bloodstains on them!
Because of our severe jet lag and exhaustion after a full month traveling abroad, we didn't go down to complain immediately during those last two nights—especially since the staff had already told us the hotel was fully booked and they couldn't move us again. We simply didn't have the energy for cleaners coming in and out while we were trying to rest.
To top it all off, at check-out, the staff member was extremely unkind and completely shifted the blame onto us. He refused to listen to our complaints, cut us off, and blamed us for not asking to send cleaners to the room. Instead of showing empathy or taking accountability for giving us an unmaintained apartment, he continuously pressured us for the extra payment, repeatedly demanding, "Pay, pay, pay!" How are you paying? How are you paying?
Paying double the market price for an unlivable, filthy room and receiving this kind of service is completely unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here.

Title: Horrifying experience - dirty, unmaintained rooms and dismissive service
I don't usually write negative reviews, but our stay at 7Seasons Apartments Budapest was simply a nightmare and caused us a huge disappointment at the end of the trip.
We paid a price there that was twice as expensive as most other places in the area, with the expectation and hope of receiving full value for the high price. In fact, we paid a lot of money and got a room that is simply not fit for living!
We arrived at the hotel exhausted after a 20-hour flight from the east, with severe jet lag. The first room we got was in terrible condition – all the walls were shabby, and the furniture was old, worn out, and damaged. We asked to change rooms, and they agreed to move us to a slightly larger room only for an additional payment.
Since we were exhausted, we went into the new room and at first glance on the first night, it looked okay. On the second evening, when we started to notice the details, our eyes darkened:
Insects and dirt: We found spider webs, ants, and cockroaches in the room.
Lack of basic maintenance and cleanliness: The sofa was broken, the furniture was completely worn out, and it was clear that the room hadn't been cleaned or maintained for a long time. The peak was when we went to see that the mats were stained with blood!
We have two more days left, and since we were in a hard jet lag and after a whole month abroad, we didn't have the mental or physical strength to go down to the reception again - especially since we were already told in advance that the hotel is fully booked and there is nowhere to move us. We just didn't have the strength for cleaners to come into the room while we are trying to rest.
At the end of the stay, the front desk representative was very impolite, completely refused to listen to our complaints, and took no responsibility. He simply shifted all the blame onto us and accused us of not asking him to bring cleaners to the room. Instead of showing consideration for the poor condition of the room, he was only focused on demanding payment and asked again and again under pressure: "Pay, pay, pay, how are you paying?", without listening to a word of what we said.
To pay double the price and get a dirty, neglected room and service like that – that is insolence like no other. Terrible experience, disgusting service and a place that is unworthy of hosting - don't come near this place!"
