"Flew home today after a week at this resort all inclusive. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff are very friendly, especially the pool bar man Roman and the housekeeping staff. The day and night manager were also very helpful and always said hello when passing. There are two pools, both are clean and are a lovely touch to the resort.
In terms of food, the breakfast is what you would expect from an all inclusive but there are pancakes, cereal, yogurt, fruit and warm breakfast options. Lunch was my favourite meal, usually fresh salads and bbq options cooked in the pool lunch bar. The pizzas were lovely, the gyros and pork and chicken skewers. I only had dinner at the restaurant twice, the first night was lovely, not too many options but for what was there it was nice. On Sunday there was a lot of fish options which wasn’t my sort of meal so we went out for food instead.
The rooms are clean but the showers were an absolute nightmare. The shower rooms are essentially wet rooms, there’s only a glass panel separating the shower from the sink but the toilet is position straight in front of the shower. The shower head (in our first room) was broken, so when we turned the shower on it squirted water in every direction, completely soaking our bathroom. We then moved rooms mid-week and the new shower room had the same set up but in this room, the shower hook kept coming away from the wall so you had to take the shower head and wash yourself rather than allow the water to run, again this resulted in a soaking wet bathroom which is very dangerous and required us to use our fresh towels just to avoid slipping. I’d like recommend the hotel invest in shower basins to trap the water or provide non-slip mats for guests.
There are a lot of smoke alarm detectors in the hotel, a number of which are running out and need new batteries. On our first night the smoke alarm in our room gave off a loud beep every 30 seconds making it impossible to sleep. The on-sight manager did fix this straight away when I went to reception, however this still remains an ongoing issue throughout the hotel.
Unfortunately we did not have air conditioning in our room as it is not available until 1st June (I think you can pay for it outside of this period for €10 per day). The temperatures hit highs of 25 degrees during our week at the hotel. It was difficult to sleep during the evening as you could not leave the door open due to the mosquitos (which seem to be a huge problem in Greece at the moment with many of the hotel guests being bitten, but this is not in the hotel’s powers to avoid) so it would be worth offering air conditioning during the season when the hotel is open and not for a fixed period.
The location of the hotel is great, with a load of restaurants and bars being a very short walk away. There are also bus stops near to the hotel for day trips et . The hotel staff were very helpful in providing information for the buses and taxi services."
