"A Pleasant, Relaxing Hillside Stay
We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday at this hillside hotel. As frequent visitors to Corfu, we were happy to just unwind and stay local rather than travel around.
The dining experience was a real highlight. Breakfasts and dinners were always stress-free, with plenty of available tables and good-quality food. The choice of meats was varied and consistently well-cooked, so finding something delicious to eat was never an issue.
Relaxing by the pool was equally effortless. While a few guests attempted the usual sunbed reservation game, it didn't impact us at all. There were always plenty of loungers available in both sun and shade, making it easy to shift positions throughout the day. The pool area remained calm and peaceful for the most part, with only occasional busy moments.
The bar staff at the pool were particularly friendly and remembered your order every time.
Good to Know:
* Local Amenities: A quick walk to the nearby shop allowed us to pick up a small cooler bag, which was great for keeping drinks cold and saving a bit of money during the day.
* The Hill & Beach: The walk down to the beach involves a steep hill. Coming from a background of coastal path walking, it didn't bother us at all, and a swim in the sea was a welcome change. Beach loungers are on the pricier side, though we chose not to use them.
* The Rooms: The rooms are slightly dated and can feel a bit musty initially, but airing them out by leaving the door open easily solves this—and we spent very little time indoors anyway.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. While we might explore new destinations in the future simply to try somewhere different, we would certainly consider returning. If you are looking for a relaxing break, go for it—enjoy your holiday!"
