"I am extremely disappointed with how my situation has been handled by Adina Düsseldorf. Due to a severe burn injury, I was medically unable to travel for my stay that was booked from 28 December to 2 January. This resulted in significantly limited mobility, making it impossible for me to come to Düsseldorf. This was clearly explained to the hotel. I contacted Adina Düsseldorf over two weeks ago and have since spoken to their colleagues multiple times by phone. During these conversations, I was repeatedly assured that they would think along with me and help resolve the situation, and that the matter would be followed up internally. I was explicitly told that I would be contacted by a manager via email. Despite these promises, I have received no follow-up whatsoever. No email. No solution. No update. Instead, I was sent back and forth between Adina Düsseldorf and Booking.com, with each party referring me to the other. Booking.com stated that any changes had to be initiated by the accommodation and requested written confirmation if the hotel referred me back — something I also communicated clearly to Adina Düsseldorf. Still, nothing happened. Despite multiple reminders, phone calls, and emails, there has been no accountability and no communication from the hotel’s side. This ongoing lack of response caused unnecessary stress during a period in which I was recovering from a serious medical injury. What makes this especially frustrating is not the refusal itself — but the repeated promises to follow up that were never kept. We genuinely wanted to reschedule our stay and still visit Adina Düsseldorf at a later date. Unfortunately, the complete lack of follow-through and communication has left a very negative impression. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Adina Düsseldorf when it comes to customer care and handling exceptional circumstances."

"We booked a one-week stay at Adina Apartment Hotel Düsseldorf on short notice due to the Messe, paying nearly $4,000 because nothing else was available. The staff were friendly and polite, but unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. When we entered the room, there was a strong mold smell, and we noticed blood stains on the bathroom wall, which I reported to the front desk — but no one ever came to clean it. We were traveling with a baby and a dog, and the room was never cleaned until Friday, despite repeated complaints. When I asked about it, I was told rooms are cleaned every three days, which is completely unreasonable for families staying a full week. We had to deal with dirty towels and trash for most of our stay. On top of that, we had a leak under the bathroom sink, and the air conditioning wasn’t working, forcing us to keep the window open all night — which meant constant train noise from the nearby Hauptbahnhof. Finally, when I asked to extend our stay, I was told the hotel was fully booked, yet Expedia still showed available rooms — a frustrating and misleading situation. For the price we paid, this stay was absolutely not worth it. The property is poorly maintained, housekeeping is inconsistent, and basic amenities were not functioning properly. Unless you’re looking for a very budget-level experience and can overlook these issues, I would not recommend staying here."
