"What a pleasant stay! This hotel has a lot of little touches that make your stay great. I usually stay at Alexanderplatz when I come for Christmas markets, but due to points I had I decided to upgrade to a four star hotel in the Ku’damm area. First, the room itself. I had to do some work during my stay I opted for the room with a working desk which was large and chair quite comfortable. The shower water is immediately hot when you turn it on. The light switches are in just the right place on the headboard. There was a plug adapter already in one bedside outlet. There are plenty of outlets and complimentary still and sparkling water in the mini fridge. The room isn’t big but the space is efficiently used, with lots of ingenious drawers and cabinets, and the temperature controls easy to operate. There was an odd foot sculpture in the window. The hotel hung a Christmas chocolate lolly on each door for St. Nikolaus Day!
The highlight though is the breakfast. It is all so fresh, including oven warm rolls. You can order hot foods like bacon, eggs, pancakes, sausage cooked to order and top off with the offerings on the breakfast bar. Place your order with the hostess checking room numbers. The orange and grapefruit juices are freshly squeezed and the coffee rich. There was even fresh ginger for your tea! The only thing that disappointed was the pain de chocolate, but that’s the case in most hotels. In December 2025, the breakfast cost 25 Euros, a standard price, but with all you get and the quality, it is worthwhile.
The location is good- two streets off the Ku’damm. It’s quiet but only a 7 minute walk to the Kaiser Wilhelm church, close to the Zoologischer Garten train station so it’s well connected to public transportation to get anywhere in the city. On the regional train, it is a 49 minute trip from the airport, a hour on the SBahn. The area has a lot of Asian and Italian restaurants but also a few of the most recommended German restaurants in the city."
