"I honestly cannot put into words just how horrific this stay was. I have been on plenty of holidays and stayed in many different hotels, but I have **NEVER experienced anything remotely as bad as this**. This wasn’t just disappointing — it completely ruined our holiday. I had read the mixed reviews before booking and, stupidly, decided to give the place the benefit of the doubt. **BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER.** I genuinely wish I had listened to the negative reviews because everything we experienced was awful. From the second we checked in, we were made to feel completely unwelcome. The lady with the short, dark, shoulder-length hair was unbelievably rude. No smile, no manners, no warmth whatsoever. And unfortunately, this wasn’t just a bad first impression — **the same attitude continued throughout our entire stay.** The majority of the staff were rude, miserable and completely unwelcoming. It felt like we were an inconvenience simply for being there. The only member of staff who was actually lovely was the lady we encountered on our final day. She was friendly, polite and welcoming — which honestly made the attitude of everyone else stand out even more. Then we were told we had to pay a **£150 deposit**, which we STILL have not received back. And then came the room. Yes, I will be fair — the room was decorated nicely. **BUT WHAT IS THE POINT OF A NICE-LOOKING ROOM WHEN YOU CANNOT EVEN SLEEP IN IT?** There was **NO AIR CONDITIONING. NO FAN. NOTHING.** The room was absolutely boiling. We did not sleep properly for the entire four days. I mean genuinely **NO SLEEP**. Our holiday became four days of exhaustion. We didn’t want to waste our short holiday lying in bed, so we forced ourselves to get up and go out despite being completely drained. By day three, we were so exhausted we could barely function. How on earth can accommodation expect people to sleep in a room that is unbearably hot with **not even a basic fan provided?** It completely destroyed our enjoyment of the holiday. And if that wasn’t bad enough, we had been in the room for approximately **20 minutes** after arriving. We were unpacking, having a couple of drinks and had some music playing because, believe it or not, **WE HAD JUST ARRIVED ON HOLIDAY AND WERE EXCITED.** Then came a knock at the door.  We were handed a formal notice stating that **quarrelling and screaming was unacceptable** and that we could be asked to leave if we were heard again. We were absolutely **GOBSMACKED.** There was no argument. No fighting. No screaming match. Nothing remotely resembling the behaviour they were accusing us of. Yes, we were excited and there may have been a few excited squeals, but that is hardly some outrageous disturbance — especially when we'd been there for about 20 minutes! Imagine arriving at your holiday accommodation and almost immediately being threatened with being thrown out. **What a welcome.** We tried to forget about it, put it behind us and salvage what we could of our holiday. Then we discovered the **COCKROACHES.** Not just one. **COCKROACHES IN THE ROOM, THE KITCHEN AND THE BALCONY.** Absolutely disgusting. The room was so unbearably hot that we ended up moving the bed towards the balcony doors and sleeping with them open just to try and get some air. And there we were, exhausted, unable to sleep, with cockroaches around the accommodation. **THIS WAS NOT A HOLIDAY. THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE.** Four days of exhaustion. Four days of feeling unwelcome. Four days of dealing with rude staff. Four days without proper sleep. And then cockroaches on top of everything else. I have never been so desperate to leave a hotel in my life. What should have been a relaxing, enjoyable holiday turned into an experience we will remember for all the **WRONG reasons**. We spent our holiday exhausted and miserable instead of relaxed and enjoying ourselves. I genuinely cannot express how horrific this experience was. **PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE.** Do not make the mistake we made by thinking the negative reviews might be exaggerated. **They weren't.** If I could give **ZERO STARS**, I would. **Absolutely appalling. Absolutely unacceptable. Absolutely the worst holiday experience I have ever had.**"

"Booked this very last minute - literally the day before - for one night as we were stuck in the cold at the other side of the island. Made the mistake of looking at reviews after I’d booked, and was worried with the things I’d been reading, long wait for deposit, no fans, lifeguard issues etc. HOWEVER. We were pleasantly surprised!! The room was lovely! Granted, the no fan situation was a bit annoying however I’d pay 3 euros any day for a fan and it kept us cool all night! Big spacious studio, super clean, stunning bathroom. The receptionists we spoke to were slightly frosty to begin with but I think it’s just their nature over there with having to deal with so many tourists, and they actually were nothing short of helpful and were quick to help with any questions or requests we had. The pool was lovely and everyone was friendly. The pool could definitely do with a clean out but didn’t stop us from mucking about in there. A bit annoying that the cafe shuts at 3pm for food but plenty spots for food around the area anyway so wasn’t a big deal at all. The refund situation - once we checked out the room, the cleaner went straight there to check if all was okay and when I say that the refund hit our bank straight away I mean straight away! Really happy with our stay here and it was such a cheap booking. Would definitely stay here again if I needed to. I’m sure customers wouldn’t have anything to complain about if this hotel got some ceiling fans and aircon installed! Thanks again :) x"

"This was our 2nd visit to caribe a few changes since 1st visit .our stay was good we found the staff pleasant reception were helpful , we didn't read the fact 150 euro had to be paid but we paid it knowing we were told we would get it bk within 4 _5 working days when we checked out they gave us a card receipt and reassured us it would be in our bank we left on 16th August still no refund to date 27th August we have informed our bank and emailed the hotel twice who are now telling us they have passed it to the relevant department to look into , our room was very clean and cleaners came with clean towels most days , the pool area is very quiet and no music or inflatables allowed in pool I think its ok for adults but if you have children may be choose somewhere else so they can have fun , location good and all in all a good experience but very disappointed with still waiting for refund we are reporting to bank 28th August, with card reciept , the hotel has a lovely cat caribe, our son lives in tenerife we asked if he could come to hotel but was told no , we respected their wishes , unfortunately we won't return as the refund not in bank as reassured by staff which is disappointing that we now have to report to bank"
