"We went in July, we have waited until October to write the review, and the discomfort has not gone away. We were recommended by two different families of friends with children who had gone the previous year, so we arrived very excited, hoping to have a perfect week.
However, we started off badly. As soon as we arrived, the terrace was sticky, and your flip-flops would get stuck to it, so it had not been mopped before our arrival. There were ants in the room, spider webs, and on the third day we discovered residue in the bathroom between the bidet and the wall that was not ours.
On Tuesday afternoon, my husband dislocated his shoulder on the pool slides, and the doctor had already left. Even though it was not 6:00 PM, the closing time for those pools. By the time he arrived, it had already gone cold, he could not put it back in place, and they sent him to the hospital. The taxi, obviously, was paid for by the guests. On Saturday, around 5:00 PM, my 4-year-old son slipped in the shower at the Insotel Punta Prima Prestige pool, he got a gash, and the lifeguard for that pool... was not there. So we ran all the way to the top of the hotel where the medical station is. Since it was Saturday... there was no doctor. Because Saturdays are Saturdays, and we all know that nothing ever happens. How can it be that to organize a leisure camp, in some communities, if they exceed the number of 100 people they force you to have a doctor, and in that hotel, which is full of families, there is no doctor on Saturdays. Well, the lifeguard coordinator, a very nice guy who was super attentive both on Tuesday with my husband and that day, was the one who treated him. At our reception, instead of calling us an ambulance first, they called us a taxi. That day there were festivals in several towns. Half an hour of waiting on the street and no taxi appeared. We then approached the reception, not of the Insotel Punta Prima, but the general one, and there they called us an ambulance, offered us water, and invited us to stay there sitting down. We are also very grateful to them for that attention. Finally at the hospital they gave him four stitches and we were able to be back around 10:30 PM.
Leisure club...it didn't work and the girls didn't make an effort to make it work. It was a space we hoped to use to have quality time as a couple and the children didn't want to go. We used it on 4 occasions: on one, one of the children fell asleep, so a basic resource there was to have them paint. Another afternoon when they had a cookie workshop followed by water games that in theory ended at 5:30 PM, families were told that if they were going to pick up the children at the pool they should go at 5:00 PM and if they were going to pick them up at the club they should go at 5:15 PM. And they left the club to do the games at 4:45 PM. What margin of time did they have left? And another morning, which was in fact the only day they really had a good time, there was an incident that said a lot about their initiative and concern for the participants. A father broke a glass bottle in the courtyard where children are signed up for activities and where children start running and playing. When he asked them for a broom, they told him they didn't have one. You are in a space where you are continuously holding workshops and you don't even have a miserable broom? Well, what happened was that the man started to pick up the pieces of glass and left. But, there were still glass remnants left, and there were children running around the space, so I approached the monitor who was at the entrance to tell her about it. She did nothing. I also told the person who was registering the children. She did nothing. I leaned into the cubicle, I told the coordinator to please call the hotel so they would send someone from housekeeping to pick up those glass shards that were left there, and she finally got up, called, and since they didn't pick up, she took action, giving instructions for the children to go into the room and not to let them out until it was cleaned up, and she left to look for a broom or call someone. Apparently, the team of monitors this year had changed compared to the previous one.
Very positive assessment for the leisure group that was next door, one intended, I believe, for a German group. There, the team of monitors gave it their all and they functioned super well both inside the hotel and when they went out to the beach.
Oh, and I forgot, we had the spa included, well, just the day we went to make use of that space, that night the spa water hadn't heated up. There had been some kind of problem and they were very sorry.
So that's that, a spectacular water color, but a place not to return to."
