"We stayed at Fergus Club Carema Splash for 10 nights in June 2026 as a family of 6 (4 adults and 2 children) and overall we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely return.
The food was always good with plenty of choice at every meal. Breakfast was especially excellent. If you're expecting purely British food every day, you're probably missing the point of visiting Menorca and tou need to grow up and try things! We enjoyed trying different dishes and always found something we liked.
The animation team were brilliant and always friendly. A special mention to Goofy, whose pool fitness sessions were great fun. The lifeguards at the top of the slides also deserve credit for keeping things moving and making the slides even more enjoyable.
One thing we really liked was that there was a featured cocktail available each day at the pool bar alongside the usual all-inclusive drinks. We enjoyed mojitos, white sangria and several other options during our stay.
The splash pool is one of the best we've visited in Menorca and was a huge hit with the children. It would benefit from having more sun loungers as there aren't many available. It also doesn't open until 11am, which feels a little late as the cooler morning hours are ideal for younger children. The main pool does have a lovely shallow area though, and there are plenty of umbrellas for shade.
The splash pool area would also be improved by having its own bar. Currently, you need to walk to the main pool bar for drinks, which becomes a bit frustrating throughout the day. The ladies' toilets beneath the splash area were also missing hand wash dispensers, which feels like something that should be essential at a hotel with buffet dining.
The snack bar was excellent and available throughout the day. The gentleman running it was always cheerful and happy to help.
Our rooms (L302 and L304) were very clean and cleaned daily. However, they are among the furthest rooms from the main facilities, which meant quite a long walk several times a day. If you've forgotten something in your room, it's a trek back! It was particularly tiring for our 2-year-old. If mobility is a concern, I'd recommend requesting a room closer to reception, pools and restaurants.
The hotel itself is very hilly, which is worth noting. We chose not to use our pushchair because of the accessibility challenges, and I think some elderly guests may struggle with the gradients.
A couple of minor room issues affected our stay. On some days we weren't left enough large towels for everyone, meaning the children had to use hand towels after showering. Because our rooms were so far away, it wasn't practical to walk back to reception every time. The air conditioning in room L304 was extremely noisy and couldn't comfortably be used overnight, whereas the air conditioning in L302 was perfectly quiet. Also, neither bedside lamp in our room worked, meaning we had to rely on the bright main light in the evenings.
One thing that did surprise us was the safe charge. We enquired about using the room safe and were told it would cost €50, non-refundable. Compared with other Menorca hotels that simply take a refundable deposit, this felt excessive.
The à la carte restaurant, available by pre-booking for Wednesdays and Fridays, was lovely and definitely worth visiting during your stay.
A particularly nice touch was seeing the restaurant staff celebrate a guest's birthday one evening with cake, candles and a rendition of Happy Birthday. It created a lovely atmosphere.
One of the highlights of this hotel is the beautiful little beach directly next to it. The water is shallow, crystal clear and perfect for children to paddle safely. We saw lots of fish swimming around our feet. Paddleboard hire and lessons were also available at reasonable prices. When we arrived on 12th June there wasn't much beach infrastructure, but by 19th June sunbeds and pedalos were available to hire, perhaps due to the start of the busier season.
The hotel is situated in a quieter area of the island, with very little within walking distance apart from a handy mini supermarket. However, there is also a car and scooter hire business right next door, making it very easy to explore the island independently. We'd definitely recommend hiring a vehicle or booking excursions if you like to get out and see more of Menorca.
The rooms have a double-door entrance which is a little awkward to use. The outer door opens one way and the inner door opens the other, meaning you have to fully open both every time you enter or leave. It's difficult to explain, but you'll understand if you stay here!
Overall, despite a few minor issues, we had a wonderful family holiday. The food, pools, staff and beach location were all excellent, and the positives far outweighed the negatives. We'd happily return to Fergus Club Carema Splash and would recommend it to families looking for a fun, relaxed holiday in Menorca."
