"I’ve seen some not so good reviews but we got back last Thursday after a week and had a really good time! (21st to 28th May)
We had a 1 bed apartment for 2 adults and 2 children and had plenty of room. 1 double bed in the bedroom and in the living area there was pop up bed and the sofa was the bed (not a sofa bed) but was comfortable.
Pools were great and really good from a bed point of view, we always managed to get some no matter what time of the day and the beds are only 1 layer deep so you can always see the pool which was great with the kids! Normally I’m constantly up and down!
1 pool had entertainment and 2 other pools were quieter. The middle pool by the restaurant was our favourite as it had the comfiest sun beds and it was close to the self serve snack bar.
I would recommend pool shoes for the kids though. Both my kids got cut feet in the pool and I saw multiple other kids getting plasters etc from the lifeguards. Even one of the entertainment staff said it happens to him all the time. It happened at all pools not just one. I didn’t feel anything in the pool myself, but maybe because I wasn’t always pushing off the bottom.
A few people mentioned in reviews the waterpark was unclean and slides were shut, but it was fine when we were there.. all slides were open (although they shut some for an hour for staff lunch breaks) and it wasn’t dirty at all. I believe it’s recently changed so is no longer included in the all inclusive, but as we traveled with Jet2 before they notified the changes, we got an extra wrist band so we could get “free” drinks and selected food. Although if it wasn’t included for us I wouldn’t have been mad as it was like a 2 minute walk to the snack bar/restaurant on the resort.
Food was fine.. all inclusive is never great IMO but we all managed to find something every meal and it was nice and plenty of choice.. meal times were my least favourite part of the holiday but more just because it’s busy and I get mad at people pushing in queues and kids help themselves 🤣
There is only 1 all inclusive bar open during the day by the main reception pool, but you can get soft drinks, coffee and wine/beer at the snack bar at the pool near the restaurant most of the day (apart from when the restaurant is open for meal times). On an evening there is just 1 all inclusive bar inside where the entertainment is which often had a large queue and only 1 person working the bar. There is a paid bar in reception where you can get cocktails and etc and there’s no queue.
There is a stage area outside but all evening entertainment was inside, which I don’t enjoy, I want to be outside when I’m on holiday. So we mostly sat on the terrace outside by reception and played pool on an evening.
There are a few shops and bars and restaurants round the corner. One of them has a place with mini golf and trampolines and bouncy castles etc that was 5€ each child for 20mins so you can have a beer and a little break from the kids whilst watching them.
The beach was about a 15 minute walk away and was defo worth the walk. It was a lovely little sandy cove with clean water (but no sun beds to rent).
One area that I feel could have been improved was check in/hotel information. We didn’t get the same information as other people checking in at the same time (no map or instructions just told to come back at 3pm when the room would be ready). They could do with more information on screens or a book in the rooms. There are a signs on the bars with meal times and entertainment schedules on the big TV’s but very little information about anything else.
I say go with an open mind. You can’t please everyone all the time. Honestly i would have preferred it to be 4 star rather than 3, but I definitely wouldn’t be against going again if we got a good price."
