"We were taken here by my mother for a week after she cakes last year.
Having experienced some really decent all inclusive breaks, sadly this falls extremely short
The hotel itself is clean, if not in need of some maintenance. Toilet seats broke in men’s toilet, pool ladder at the deep end is very precarious.
The female toilet has the only baby change table so found myself when looking after our 2yo using this a few times, the light times out so you have to be quick when doing this
The pool has a baby section, fairly small, a slightly deeper pool, both cages off from the main pool, which is a decent enough size to swim, but after about a foot when entering, it gets very deep very quick! I’m 6’ and couldn’t tea cm the bottom, so this leads to one end crowding so everyone can stand up.
Pool itself was a bit unclean, large clumps of hair and debris floating around and laying on the side. It had a lifeguard between 10-5 who was friendly. Parasols fixed into floor which makes shade difficult. Managed to get sun beds each day
You can hire pool towels for a €10 cash deposit per towel
The food -
Without sounding like a snob, anyone who says this food is great, either has had a very sheltered life or one working tase bud! It was crap! So much so, that for most of the week, I had a dodgy stomach, stuck to chips and ended up Eating out in Cala bona a few times! I’ve never seen grey burgers! Restaurant staff had a few that were very friendly, Jessica and Lhades (excuse me if I spelt wrong) the others just seem to look at you whilst doing their job, very difficult to leave a buggy, especially if you couldn’t get a high chair
Snacks were also rubbish though out the day, dry cheese and ham sandwiches, stale biscuits that sit in the sun most of the day and either watermelon or pineapple all covered in wasps . There was a little pot of ice cream, but no one tells you About it, it’s like a treasure hunt
Juice and soft drink station along with a bar that give you very basic drinks, I don’t drink alcohol so wasn’t worried , but others had 1 beer choice. Think you can upgrade or buy additional.
There is a token system that on arrival they give you to exchange for a pool side cup, nice idea for saving washing but pointless because no one remembered their tokens so cups given regardless
No ice coffees on offer or milkshakes
The hotel bracelet allows you to unlock your room door, handy, but our door broke for about an hour just before check out and had to wait for handy man to try fix it
Rooms were clean, with air con, shampoo and conditioner
Fridge and safe
No air con in main lobby or fans outside which make it very hot to sit at night.
Entertainment throughout the day is ok, it repeats itself daily with the same activities, killer pool, darts, table tennis. We did a children’s t shirt painting and once we’re all settled down to begin, told it was €8 for a shirt
Kids mini disco and bingo, usual cabaret each night, better off walking to Cala bona front
There is a free shuttle to Cala millor, we didn’t use
Hotel is basically a full board with a few extras, nothing like other all inclusive’s
Overall it was ok, I would t return, especially considering how much was paid! Yes I know it’s the summer holidays but in my opinion would be better to rent an apartment and eat out or try another hotel"
