"100% honest review.
Returned early hours of this morning. It was our first time staying in the Elena Apartments. We absolutely loved them (although, two issues I will further comment on).
We arrived at 12.30pm expecting to wait for our room, we were lucky our room was ready which was great.
We had room 219..wow! Fantastic room, I would say it was the best on the complex (I will add pics) ground floor, very clean, had everything you need...except AC..goodness me in 38c you need AC!! Room was like an oven all the time, despite opening windows and doors (seen folk hire AC) honestly installing AC would make these apartments outstanding! Room had a terrace, which meant we could place sun beds right at our door. Good view of the pool and it was quiet - never heard any noise from the strip or from the bar.
Beds - mattress desperately need replaced, again a new mattress as well as AC would make these apartments the best in PDC.
Location is amazing, a few steps from the strip with a spar outside and a hyperdino to the right.
Pool is lovely, very deep in parts but very clean and well maintained.
Bar - irish bar, had karaoke one afternoon, prices were OK.
Reception guys - a credit to the apartments, very friendly and helpful.
The whole complex is very clean and well maintained.
The sunbed wars unfortunately happen here as anywhere else..towels put out first thing - hanging on the railing to secure their space, with people waiting over an hour to grab a bed that's unlocked at 9am (i was in stitches laughing at them) there was always beds available well after this but to get their spot they would mark their territory with their towels!! Then leave the towels on their beds and not return for hours?! There are signs saying towels will be removed - however never were.
5e will get you a pool towel and you get that back when you return towels.
Maid service could do with being increased - 1 week and the room was cleaned/towel change once. I was cleaning the room but fresh towels would have been nice.
We always felt safe and secure - complex door locked at midnight with code access only which was reassuring.
All in all we would definitely return - if they invest in AC and new mattress..as everything else was perfect! We took a fan which helped but AC would make this place amazing"
