"I recently stayed at Mongibello Ibiza and overall really enjoyed my stay. It’s a beautiful, stylish hotel with a relaxed boutique feel. Definitely more “Instagrammable luxury” than true five-star service, but I would absolutely return.
I stayed in one of the suites and for me the upgrade was 100% worth it for the balcony alone. It was huge, private and became one of my favourite parts of the trip. The room itself was spotless and very comfortable, with an amazing dressing gown that I genuinely wanted to take home. The bed was also extremely comfortable, although blackout blinds would have made sleep even better.
Some of the nicest touches were actually unexpected — the protein drinks by the pool were delicious, and the room service cocktail I ordered was genuinely excellent. The gym was also far better than expected for a hotel gym, although stronger air conditioning would really help during workouts.
The standout service came from the airport transfer driver, who I believe was called Andres. He was incredibly warm and welcoming and honestly gave the best hospitality experience of the trip. He even came to say goodbye when I left!
The location was also really convenient. I walked to the marina multiple times within around 10–20 minutes, and the area felt peaceful and easy to get around.
There were a few downsides that stopped the stay from feeling truly luxury. Reception staff rarely greeted guests when entering or leaving the hotel, which made the atmosphere feel less welcoming than expected. Despite staying in a suite, there wasn’t really any elevated or personalised service, and although the suite advertised “cocktail service” on the balcony, this was never mentioned at check-in or during my stay.
The breakfast buffet could also be improved — the hot food was consistently lukewarm. I’d definitely recommend ordering eggs directly from the chef instead. Water bottles and tea bags in the room also weren’t replenished.
Lola’s cocktail bar is gorgeous aesthetically, but much smaller than it appears in photos. The hotel restaurant also lacked atmosphere during my stay — one evening I was literally the only diner there.
The pool atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, although the weather during my stay was overcast so it’s hard to judge the usual vibe fully. There was a DJ playing throughout the day, though the music was fairly average. Thankfully my suite speaker setup was better!
At night the hotel was very peaceful and quiet, although mornings could get noisy once housekeeping started moving around due to squeaky doors in the corridors.
Overall though, I’d still recommend Mongibello. The design is stunning, the suites are fantastic, cleanliness standards were excellent throughout, and it feels like a calmer, more refined side of Ibiza. If the service became a little more polished and attentive, it could be exceptional."
