"We’ve just come back from a really nice holiday and overall had such a great time here. This hotel feels much more like a resort than a standard hotel — it’s really spread out, beautifully laid out, and genuinely pretty to walk around. The whole place was very clean and well maintained, which immediately made a good impression on us.
The pool area was one of our favourite parts. The loungers and umbrellas were modern and comfortable, and there was a lifeguard who clearly took pride in keeping the area clean and tidy throughout the day. The gym was also spotless and well kept, and the dining areas were always clean and nicely presented.
One thing that really stood out was the staff. Every member of staff we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. My partner is currently learning Spanish, and the staff were so patient and encouraging with him whenever he tried to practise — which honestly made the experience feel even more personal and enjoyable.
The all-inclusive drinks were proper branded drinks too, which we appreciated — Coca Cola, Fanta etc., rather than cheaper alternatives. The snack bar food was actually surprisingly good and became part of our daily routine because we enjoyed it so much. The cleaners also did a brilliant job with the rooms; ours was spotless every day, towels were refreshed daily, and everything always felt tidy and comfortable. We stayed in room 7313, which we were really happy with overall — no damp issues, solid bathroom door, and the air conditioning/heating worked perfectly.
One thing worth mentioning about being in 7313 though is that it involves quite a lot of steep stairs. Because we arrived on Hippy Market day, there was no help available with luggage and we had to carry everything up ourselves. My suitcase weighed 24kg, so carrying it up the stairs bit by bit after travelling wasn’t ideal and definitely something to be aware of if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage.
Another thing to note is that the neighbouring room 7314 has a door that slams very loudly. Depending on who’s staying next door, it can really shake the bed whenever it shuts. Thankfully it wasn’t constant for us, but lighter sleepers would probably notice it.
The location is also great, especially being close to Es Cana where there are some lovely places to eat. Our favourite was Marvent — the nachos there were honestly incredible and well worth visiting! There are also loads of little shops, supermarkets, souvenir stores, and places to browse on the walk down towards Es Cana beach, which made wandering around the area really enjoyable.
We also tried paddle boarding on Es Cana beach through Ski Pepe, and that ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. The man running it was absolutely lovely and worked incredibly hard on his own as it was still the start of the season. It actually started raining while we were out, and instead of rushing us, he kindly told us to come back later once the weather improved so we could properly enjoy it. For 1hr it was €20 for each paddle board. He also offers kayaks and boats with slides on them too.
Transport links were also really convenient. There are buses directly outside the hotel to Santa Eularia, which cost only €1.80 each way and you can pay by card or cash on the bus. It took around 15 minutes to get there. There’s also a bus route for the airport, and if you want to visit Ibiza Old Town, you can get a bus to Santa Eularia and then transfer onto another bus. It does take close to an hour each way though, so it’s worth planning ahead.
Another thing we unexpectedly loved was the cats around the resort. We even ended up with one visiting our room 😂🐈⬛
Entertainment-wise, there were two evenings in particular that were fantastic and had everyone up dancing and singing along. Those nights really brought the atmosphere to life.
That said, there are definitely some areas where the hotel could improve, and fixing a few things could genuinely push this place towards feeling like a true 4-star resort.
Check-in being at 3pm felt quite late after travelling. The large day beds around the pool also come at an extra cost, which was disappointing. Another thing we didn’t love was that both alcoholic cocktails and non-alcoholic cocktails came at an extra charge, which felt frustrating on an all-inclusive package. If you’re not drinking alcohol, it leaves you with very limited inclusive drink options.
The Hippy Café was also an additional cost and only opened on Wednesdays when the Hippy Market was on. It advertises Starbucks drinks, which initially gave the impression it may be included within all inclusive, but none of it was included and everything had to be paid for separately.
The biggest issue for us was the water pressure in the room. Showers constantly switched between hot and cold and were more of a dribble than a proper shower. Another frustrating issue was that for the first four days, we had to walk to the snack bar every single time we wanted drinks. It honestly made us feel slightly penalised despite paying for all inclusive. Thankfully, after complaints from guests, this changed on day five and it genuinely made a huge difference to the holiday experience.
The entertainment schedule could also be communicated better. It was only displayed on a TV screen by the main restaurant, so unless you specifically walked over there, you wouldn’t know what was happening. One additional improvement that could really enhance the atmosphere — especially on rainy days — would be more organised social activities through the entertainment team. Things like painting sessions, Uno, card games, dominoes, or other relaxed group activities would be a great way to bring guests together and keep the atmosphere lively when the weather isn’t ideal. We felt there was a missed opportunity there to create a bit more of a social holiday vibe during quieter periods.
Food-wise, this was probably the most mixed part of the holiday. The food itself was actually tasty and very well seasoned — some dishes were genuinely some of the nicest we’ve had at an all-inclusive. However, it was repeatedly lukewarm or cold, and there wasn’t a huge amount of variety day-to-day. We ended up eating out around 3 of the 7 nights because we struggled to find enough we wanted. If they fixed the temperature issue, the food would honestly be unreal.
Another thing that would really improve the dining experience would be clearer food labelling in the restaurant. A lot of the dishes didn’t have signs explaining what they were, so you often had to just try things without really knowing what they contained. Unfortunately this sometimes led to food being wasted simply because it wasn’t to our taste or wasn’t what we expected. Even basic labels would make a big difference, especially for fussy eaters or anyone with dietary preferences. We also noticed that when the restaurant was quieter, staff would kindly come around and take drink orders from tables, which was great. However, when it became busy, this understandably became difficult because the staff were focused on clearing and cleaning tables. During those times, it could actually be quite hard to get a drink. We think having a proper self-service drinks station or usable drink machines available for guests would really improve the experience and take some pressure off the staff during busy periods.
One thing to be aware of: arriving on Hippy Market day was quite stressful because the market runs through the streets around the hotel, making navigation difficult. Guests arriving on other days appeared to get taken to their rooms by golf buggy, which would’ve been much easier.
There’s also a mixture of accommodation and working/residential areas nearby, so at times you would hear dogs barking or see people washing cars and motorbikes nearby. It didn’t ruin our holiday, but it’s worth mentioning if you’re expecting complete peace and quiet all day.
A few other things that are useful to know before travelling:
* Beach towels require a €10 cash deposit each.
* The large day beds by the pool come at an extra cost.
* Cocktails and mocktails are not included in all inclusive and cost extra.
* The Hippy Café/Starbucks area is also an extra charge and only opens on Wednesdays during the Hippy Market.
* There’s no laundrette on site. The nearest one is around 10 minutes away and cost us €9 for a 25-minute wash and €4 for 25 minutes in the tumble dryer.
* The WiFi wasn’t great and we struggled to get a proper connection in the room.
* There were no Jet2Holiday reps based at the hotel, so if you needed information about trips, transport, or local activities, Google became your best friend.
Finally, because the Entertainment/Bar area is close to neighbouring houses, there’s no ambient music later in the evening and entertainment becomes quite quiet. It slightly affected the evening atmosphere.
Overall though, we genuinely had a fantastic holiday and really loved our stay. We also understand we didn’t pay an extreme amount for the trip, and for what we paid, there was a lot to love. With a few improvements — particularly around food temperature, drink access, shower pressure, WiFi, and entertainment atmosphere — this hotel could easily become somewhere truly exceptional."
