"Overall very disappointed! I’ll start with the positives. Great lively location for families with children 0-12/13. Beautiful a beach with soft dark sand and caves to explore and amazing sunset on the beach. View of ocean to your right on balcony. Clean bright hotel everywhere. Big spacious bright rooms with huge patio door. Air conditioning all day of you leave a key card in. Nice size balcony with table and 2 chairs. Big bathroom with walk in shower Most staff good but not over friendly. Animation team comes round throughout day for activities with children. Small warm children’s pool (far end away from main pool) Lots of sunbeds and able to sit between the 2 pools and you can get a nice chilled spot in the sun away from lots of people at this time of year. Resort supermarket fairly priced for water and across from hotel. That I am afraid is where any positives end Reality is food is abysmal! Not a lot of choice, leftovers being used next day…sprouts and broccoli at breakfast??!! Food luke warm at best. NOTHING for children such as nuggets ect. Drink choice at dinner is self pour medium wine, Amstel self pour and soft drinks along with hot coffee ect. All in thimbles. Water on soft drink machine but has funny taste. Breakfast awful unless you want continental. Bacon isn’t bacon and everyday was overcooked and has a funny taste and grey tinge. Eggs are hard or scrambled and fried are all overdone. Sausages are yesterday’s left over frankfurter from the awful snack selection at pool bar. Lots of fruit available to be fair. All inc drinks are same as dinner with inclusion of sickly sweet cocktails in a tiny plastic cup. Smoking is not allowed except one tiny area where you have to stand. Did vape outside and no one said anything though. Towels are available from the spa downstairs but with €10 deposit per towel and €1 per swap for clean. The whole resort is made up of 5 hotels with a main entertainment area outside in the middle which is noisy and lively and expensive. Bar is included but again very limited Allinc offering. Water is not available free in bottles anywhere in hotel except from 2 machines 1 in bar 1 in restaurant. You do get a 1.5l in mini fridge on arrival but they will give anymore or sell you any. No tea and coffee or kettle in room. Only 2 lifts and 1 out of order whole holiday. Lots and lots of stairs. SPA NOT INCLUDED. I made that mistake. 2 great restaurants on beach get very busy due to the food being awful in hotel. Maids will make bed and give cursory wipe down of bathroom daily but did not clean or change sheets in whole week here. No sun loungers on balcony. Water in main pool not heated and 5 ft deep whole pool. Expect to spend spend spend do not think as it’s all inc you won’t need much extra money….you will!! Holiday was myself and 2 sons 22&16 and I budgets for £300 spending… blew that by day 3! I have been to HV many many times and this is by far the worst all inc I have experienced. Which is a shame given the location and hotel itself. Will be making formal complaint to jet2 on our return."

"Shocking hotel with the worst food I’ve ever seen in my life. Gave up on eating the cold inedible food supplies by this all inclusive hotel. Jet2 rep “Ester” was no use and we couldn’t eat there ( only fit for dogs). This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stopped in and I’ve been coming to Gran Can for 20 years. The fact the management target you for complaining just shows what sort of hotel this is."

"Myself and 13 year old son went for a little get away in half term. What a wonderful time we had. Would definitely come again! The food was spot on, the hotel was clean and tidy, the entertainment part on the centre got busy but that didn't bother us as there was bowling and mini golf which we played everyday and found it cheap enough. The pool area was a bit busy but always found a sunbed. The rooms where nice and very spacious along with the balcony. We where on 3rd floor so had a lovely view. We took the bus into Puerto rico one day to do some shopping and found it really easy and cheap. The only problem was trying to get a bus to Morgan the next little village. We waited an hour for the bus then gave up. The beach is lovely, the sunset was beautiful too, we went every night to watch it before dinner. We only went to the waterpark once. The sea salt pools where a bit off putting. We did however go on all the slides but never went again. The pools where all a nice temperature but it was 29° every day we was there."
