"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seaside Sandy Beach Hotel: The Hotel That Ruined Every Other Hotel For Me
Some people are adventurous travellers.
I am not.
I found Seaside Sandy Beach years ago and now return with the reliability of a migratory bird that enjoys sunshine, good food, and the occasional questionable cocktail decision.
At this point, booking another stay isn't really a holiday decision.
It's tradition.
Not the Newest Hotel, But One of the Most Welcoming
Let's address the obvious point.
Seaside Sandy Beach isn't a brand-new ultra-modern resort. The hotel has character, history, and a loyal following of returning guests who keep coming back year after year.
Could some areas benefit from modernisation? Absolutely.
The good news is that refurbishment plans are already underway, and I've had the opportunity to see some of the progress. Several rooms have already been redecorated, offering an exciting glimpse of what's to come, and the future plans are extremely promising.
What matters most to me, though, is that the hotel is exceptionally well maintained. Everything is clean, cared for, and looked after with genuine pride.
The hotel has managed to achieve something many newer resorts struggle with. It feels established without feeling tired, comfortable without feeling dated, and familiar without ever becoming predictable.
The Secret Ingredient? The People
The hotel itself is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and perfectly located, but what keeps me returning year after year is the staff.
There are plenty of hotels that provide good service.
Very few make you feel genuinely welcome.
From the moment I arrive, I'm greeted not as a room number but as someone they are genuinely pleased to see again.
That sense of welcome can't be manufactured, and it certainly can't be bought. It's something this team has perfected.
After so many visits, some of the staff feel less like hotel employees and more like old friends you happen to catch up with once or twice a year in considerably better weather.
Daytime Paco
If hospitality were an Olympic sport, Paco would be on the podium.
Friendly, professional, and blessed with an uncanny ability to predict exactly what guests need before they ask, he somehow turns breakfast and lunch into highlights of the day.
I've become convinced he possesses some form of hospitality-based telepathy.
Whether it's remembering guests' preferences, anticipating requests before they're spoken, or appearing at exactly the right moment, Paco consistently goes above and beyond.
The remarkable thing is that he makes it all look effortless.
Letitia and Fatima
Over the years, Letitia and Fatima have become part of what makes Sandy Beach feel so special.
Warm, kind, endlessly patient, and always smiling, they create the sort of atmosphere that can't be taught in any training programme.
This visit, however, Fatima wasn't at the hotel, and she was certainly missed.
The fact that her absence was so noticeable says everything about the impact she has made over the years. Guests remember people like Fatima because they make a genuine difference to a holiday experience.
Thankfully, Letitia continued to represent everything that makes the Sandy Beach team so special, bringing her usual warmth, friendliness, and ability to make every guest feel welcome.
And much like Nighttime Paco's absence, Fatima's time away highlighted the strength of the wider team. The service remained excellent, the atmosphere remained warm, and the hotel continued to deliver the experience that keeps so many of us returning year after year.
I look forward to seeing both Fatima and Nighttime Paco back on my next visit.
Karen
Karen brings warmth, confidence, and professionalism to every interaction.
She's one of those people who makes excellent service look effortless, even though everyone knows it isn't.
She consistently strikes that perfect balance between efficiency and friendliness, ensuring guests feel both looked after and valued.
Skye
There should probably be a scientific study into how much happiness one person can generate.
Skye's famous greeting and positive energy somehow improve everyone's day within a fifty-metre radius.
Her enthusiasm is infectious, her smile is unstoppable, and she has a remarkable talent for making guests feel like the most important people in the hotel at that exact moment.
Some people brighten a room when they enter.
Skye appears capable of brightening an entire postcode.
The Pool Bar Dream Team
The whole team deserve special recognition.
A pool bar can often be chaotic, especially during busy periods, but this team somehow keeps everything running smoothly while making guests feel relaxed and looked after.
Gabriel in particular has perfected the art of appearing at exactly the right moment.
I'm still not entirely convinced he isn't using advanced surveillance equipment to monitor drink levels.
Together, the team combines efficiency with friendliness in a way that keeps the atmosphere relaxed, welcoming, and fun throughout the day.
Even when the bar is busy, they somehow make it feel as if everything is under complete control.
A Quick Mention for Nighttime Paco
Many returning guests will know Nighttime Paco from the bar, but during my stay he was enjoying a well-earned holiday.
He was certainly missed, which probably tells you everything you need to know about the impression he has made over the years.
That said, his absence also highlighted something important about Sandy Beach: the strength of the whole team.
The service, atmosphere, and friendliness remained exactly as good as ever, proving that the hotel's greatest asset is the people collectively, not just any one individual.
I look forward to seeing him back behind the bar on my next visit.
Leadership Matters
A hotel's culture starts at the top, and that's obvious here.
Eva Karg continues to set an incredible standard as manager.
Professional, approachable, visible, and genuinely attentive, she has created an environment where guests and staff alike seem genuinely happy to be there.
That doesn't happen by accident.
Good leadership is often most noticeable in the attitude of the people delivering the service, and throughout the hotel there is a clear sense of teamwork, pride, and professionalism.
The staff genuinely seem to enjoy working there, and that positivity filters through every aspect of the guest experience.
The Food Problem
I say "problem" because every holiday begins with good intentions.
This year's plan included moderation, sensible portions, and self-control.
The chef clearly had other ideas.
Every meal is outstanding, which means my holiday diet lasted approximately seventeen minutes.
By day three I was operating under the entirely fictional belief that holiday calories are exempt from international accounting standards.
The food is consistently excellent, beautifully presented, and varied enough that every meal feels like something to look forward to.
Unfortunately for my waistline, resisting temptation simply isn't a realistic strategy here.
In fairness, if the chef is going to keep producing food of this quality, my self-discipline never really stood a chance.
Why I Keep Coming Back
After so many visits, I've realised that Sandy Beach isn't simply a hotel.
It's a place where staff remember your name, where service feels genuine rather than rehearsed, and where relaxation happens naturally.
It's comfortable without being pretentious.
Professional without being formal.
Friendly without ever feeling forced.
In a world where everything seems to change, there's something wonderful about returning somewhere that consistently gets the important things right.
The buildings, facilities, and décor all play their part, but it's the people who transform a pleasant holiday into one that stays with you long after you've returned home.
That's why so many guests return year after year.
And once you've experienced it for yourself, it's very easy to understand why.
Final Verdict
Yes, there are shinier hotels.
Yes, there are newer hotels.
But very few can match the warmth, loyalty, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality that Seaside Sandy Beach provides.
I've stayed here many times, and after this latest visit my opinion remains exactly the same:
Outstanding staff.
Outstanding food.
Outstanding management.
Outstanding holiday.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If there were a loyalty programme for guests who refuse to holiday anywhere else, I'd probably be its chairman by now.

Highly recommended. Just don't blame me when every other hotel afterwards feels slightly disappointing. 😄"
