"I had a wonderful stay at Axel Hotel Maspalomas. From the moment I arrived, I felt very welcome. The hotel has a great atmosphere, stylish design, and a relaxed and friendly vibe. The staff were exceptionally kind, professional, and always happy to help, which really made the stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the pool area was a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. I also really appreciated the location which was close enough to everything while still offering a peaceful atmosphere. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely a place I would be happy to return to. Highly recommended!"

"We had a really enjoyable stay at the hotel overall. The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the cleaning staff were also lovely. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a nice view overlooking the pool area. The pool area is nice and well maintained, although I was disappointed to see that the number of free sun loungers has been reduced to make room for Bali-style beds, which you have to pay extra to use. I also found the amount of smoking around the pool to be an issue. Depending on the wind direction, the smoke could become quite unpleasant, especially when some guests were chain smoking from their sunbeds. On one occasion, I had to move to another bed because of it. I think a designated smoking area, as I've seen at other hotels, would be a much better solution and would make the pool area more enjoyable for everyone. The entertainment from DJ Lucky on Friday and Saturday was definitely a highlight. He really knows how to interact with guests and created a great atmosphere. He's a fantastic entertainer and I really enjoyed his music and energy. The room has a minibar, along with various other items available to purchase, such as bottled water and washing-up liquid. The €4 charge for a bottle of water did seem quite expensive, particularly as there is a local supermarket only a few minutes' walk away selling bottled water for around €0.80. Overall, we had a good stay and really enjoyed the friendly staff, clean room and entertainment. There are a few areas I think the hotel could improve, particularly the smoking around the pool, the reduction in free sun loungers and the price of bottled water, but these didn't stop us from having an enjoyable holiday."
