Coral Cotillo Beach

"This was my third visit to this hotel , I go here because it’s a stone throw to the most gorgeous beach ( concha beach ) and close walking distance to the harbour for a drink in the evening . The hotel itself has a fab chilled out peaceful and laid back feel . We booked a pool view room and had a great balcony with sun all day . ( a pool view room is a must as there is building work opposite the front of the hotel which isn’t great if you have a balcony overlooking the road ) building work could not be heard at all in the inside of the hotel ) The room was large and very clean thanks to the fab room attendant ( a special thankyou to Veronica who was fantastic at her job , nothing was too much trouble ) clean towels and cleaned to a high standard every single day . One of the reasons we returned here was because we loved the expresso coffee machine and facilities in our room like we had before , so we were very disapointed to find the expresso machine , but we’re told they this time we had to go buy our own coffee pods and milk from the supermarket next door . I feel this is a big let down especially for a 4star hotel , as even in a roadside b@b you get tea and coffee making facilities in the room . The restaurant was as always fab ,, so much choice and to a high standard , sonething for every one .champagne for breakfast even . One only other complaint from me was that you could help yourself to tea abd coffee from the machine in the restaurant for breakfast but not after your evening meal ,, it was switched off abd if you wanted a coffee you had to pay for it ! The pool bar was lovely but not sure if it was because it wasn’t very busy ,, but it closed at 8 pm so no atmosphere in the evening . Also shame there is no live music anymore ,, also not sure what’s going on with the rooftop bar but it seems to have lost its way . ( could be really good with a bit of effort ) But restaurant and bar staff were excellent and worked so hard . All the hotel staff were really very professional . I feel the hotel are making some cutbacks , probably to fund the new sister hotel across the road ,,, but wrong cutbacks ,,, maybe take away the free champagne for breakfast and reinstate the coffee pods abd milk in the rooms . Of course I will return as I love the chilled out vibe of this hotel and love how relaxed I feel at the end of my holiday ."

"We have stayed in the Cotillo Beach Hotel two years ago and it was absolutely fantastic, so we booked again for this year, unfortunately it was not so good as we remembered, they have cut back on things to save money which have really effected our stay, the biggest thing was there are no coffee or tea facilities in the rooms now, they have left the expresso coffee machine in the room but with no coffee pods, you have to go and buy your own now , also they used to have live music in the evening, but that has all been stopped, and the thing we really loved was that in the morning they used to have a strick policy regarding you cannot put your towel on sunbeds to claim them and then just go off, now it has changed where so many people where doing that, but it still says you cannot, but there is nobody to stop it, some of the real good things where the house keeping, we had a lady cleaning our room every day called Veronica and she cleaned our room every day to such a high standard, she was always happy and smiling doing such a hard job, thank you Veronica for all your hard work and so happy every day, in general all the staff at the hotel where fantastic, just such a shame regarding the cut backs, we had a two week holiday and it was lovely mostly due to all of the staff and especially Veronica from house keeping, also forgot to mention the food and service in the restaurant was fantastic, please bring back some music in the evening by the cocktail bar and start putting coffee and tea facilities back in the rooms and we would be back every year, Thank you"

"We had lovely stay at coral beach hotel all the staff were helpful and friendly the rooms were nice and were cleaned every day, the pool area was lovely and relaxing no rush for a sun bed in fact if want a nice chilled holiday this is the place. The food was very good we only had breakfast which was very good and we also had snacks around the pool bar which were good value. There were some nice walks and the 3 beaches were lovely. The only little negative is the entertainment was low key,but if you want a nice chilled relaxing holiday with no stress I can recommend this hotel thanks for a lovely stay."
