"We stayed for a week in July . I
My honest opinion on the place is “it’s ok”.
The rooms and hotel were clean and tidy. The staff were around every day to replace towels etc or anything else you needed.
The rooms are small, we had 2 rooms as we were a family of 6. 3 single beds in each room. Small…. But they’re grand as a base to sleep. On arrival they had us in 2 rooms on different floors, I asked why we weren’t closer as I’d booked them in September, they moved us the following morning next door to my husbands room.
No kettle for tea/coffee making. There’s no fridge but you can rent one, it cost us €20 for the week.
Most of the staff were lovely; very friendly and helpful. The only unhelpful staff I found was the lifeguard. Thankfully we never needed him but he seemed to be always over at the snack bar chatting. Sometimes he would tell people no balls in the pool but other days he didn’t 🤷🏻♀️ different rules for different days or people it seemed.
The food!!
Honestly, this was the worst part for us.
We stayed at a 3 star 2 years ago in Benidorm and the food was yards above this. Very poor selection of fruit and a lot of the food was bland/burned or undercooked. I thought it would get better as the week progressed but it didn’t. No themed nights like a lot of all inclusive hotels, so it was almost the same every day. We ate out a lot of the time or ordered food in for the kids. You can also get pizza from the bar at €12 each, they have a menu with a few different pizzas but told me they only have pepperoni. They’re not too bad either.
Icepop freezer in the bar, also not included in all inclusive. Some of the ice pops were €5-€6, cheapest one was €3!! which makes for an expensive time with 4 kids. This was a biggie for us, we choose all inclusive for our family holidays as having kids wanting drinks and ice creams etc is expensive. Very disappointing that ice pops weren’t included. It was only after I left I seen on a fb page that they have small cool pop type ice pops at the pool bar for kids!!
Drinks were grand. Cocktails, beer, spirits and soft drinks for the kids.
You have to return a cup to get a drink, I don’t see a problem with this tbh as it stops having empty cups left all about the place.
The pool is great. Our kids had a ball playing. The kids pool has slides, brilliant for the smaller kids. It is a bit colder than the big pool .
Snack bar at the pool is ok but the same kind of thing. Burgers, hotdogs, toasties and crisps. Very basic; the only thing we “kind of” liked was the toasties but they could have been cooked a bit more. One of my kids liked the burgers, I’m not sure what meat it was but it definitely wasn’t beef🫣
Didn’t seem to be much entertainment, Evenings were not great. The entertainment guy himself is lovely, great with the kids but it seems like he’s off the beaten track in a room inside , it was very hot inside.
There is a free little bus that will take you from outside the hotel down to the beachfront & main strip. Not a whole lot to do there, we went by taxi to Calella one evening just to get out and do something different.
Theres also a few arcade games, but doesn’t seem to be air con near them, we took our girls to play a few games of air hockey and we were literally sweating!!
They have a little laundry room if you need to do washing, it’s handy. However, you need your own detergent etc. It takes coins. They have a coin machine to give change but it wasn’t working most of the time we were there, we asked reception for change but they said they had none.
So we ended up going to a self service laundrette just beside the hotel, they take cards.
There seems to be a lot of noise at night, running around, teenagers shouting and messing, also quite a arguments, on my last night it was 1.40am and I could hear running around since I came up to my room at 11. This obviously isn’t the hotels fault but just be mindful. I’m aware people are on holiday and having fun, but also a bit of respect for other people isn’t too much to expect. There was police called 3 times while we stayed which was a little unsettling.
In summary, the kids enjoyed it. However, I don’t think we will return here. It ended up costing us more money buying food outside because the food served was so bad."
