"PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING BASED ON THE GOOD REVIEWS.
We paid around €270 per night for an all-inclusive stay, and our experience was nowhere near what the price, rating or description of this hotel led us to expect.
The food was good, and the gentleman working at evening reception was genuinely wonderful and extremely helpful. Unfortunately, almost everything else was disappointing.
Service was painfully slow. During the magic show, my partner ordered a cocktail from THREE different waiters and we waited 45 minutes. Throughout the stay, 20+ minutes for a cocktail was normal. Several staff members also struggled to understand very basic English requests.
The “all-inclusive” system itself is bizarrely inconvenient. You wear an all-inclusive wristband, yet EVERY time you order something you still have to show your hotel card. Even at the pool, you need to carry this card around, including when you are wet. What exactly is the wristband for then — decoration?
The most ridiculous issue was WATER. After 11 p.m. we could not get drinking water anywhere except from a paid vending machine. At an all-inclusive hotel. For €270 a night.
On our last evening at around 10:40 p.m., my friend asked for four tiny 0.33 L bottles for his room and received them. I then asked for four for our room and was told there was a “one drink per person” rule. There were about 10 minutes until closing. Guys, IT’S WATER. Not champagne. Not premium cocktails. Water. What are guests supposed to do overnight?
Thankfully, the evening receptionist helped us with water. Otherwise, apparently, we were expected to survive on our own saliva until breakfast.
We also ordered a birthday cake for our friend and arranged delivery to our room at 11 p.m. Nobody brought it. At reception, the reaction was basically: “What cake?” After several calls they finally found it. We then asked for it on the terrace at midnight. The bartender sighed because he finished at 12, and the cake eventually arrived seven minutes late, without the candles lit, with an attitude that made us feel like we had asked for an enormous favour.
The towel policy is another joke: €10 deposit, then €1 EVERY TIME you exchange your towel for a clean one. I have never seen this at an all-inclusive resort.
One evening it was hailing and freezing. I asked for blankets for the girls and was sent to the bar, where the waitress could not understand the request and kept replying “¿Por qué?”. We do not expect perfect English in Spain, but basic communication should be possible in an international hotel.
We booked two identical Standard Rooms for two couples. Ours was normal-sized; our friends’ room next door was TINY, like a completely different category. How can guests book and pay for the exact same category and receive dramatically different rooms?
The evening entertainment was also bizarre. And despite the hotel being advertised as ADULTS ONLY, we saw children around the hotel, which we still do not understand.
The food was good, but no better than what we would expect from a decent all-inclusive hotel in Spain. It cannot compensate for everything else.
Any one of these issues alone would be minor. Together — 20–45 minute waits, the pointless card system, difficulty getting basic water, paid towel exchanges, poor communication, a forgotten birthday cake, inconsistent rooms and children in an adults-only hotel — they show a badly organised experience.
For €270 per night, this was unacceptable. We spent far too much of our holiday chasing drinks, negotiating for water and wondering what our “all-inclusive” package actually included.
Would we return? Absolutely not.
So again: if you are about to book because the reviews look great, PLEASE read the negative reviews first. Our experience was nothing like the premium stay we thought we were paying for."
