"The Hotel is located in a bay, so it is less windy during winter. It has easy sandy access to the sea, no rocks as some other hotels nearby have. During our stay they were finishing room interior in one wing, hotel has gone through renovation, reopened in 2025 and has now fresh and new look. There were guests from various countries, which is always good. From Baltic countries, Poland, England, Turkey, Russia, some Germans. In January there were not that much guests yet, lots of space to choose where to sit, lay down by the beach. Rooms were spacious with a big balcony. Only thing is you can hear people walking in the corridor. Our suggestion - ask for a room in highest floor, at the end of the corridor and use earplugs. This was the only minus for us. Hotel staff is very friendly and professional, not asking for tips. There are also women working. Gardeners are taking good care of the garden, there are guards watching over the pool and beach area, as well as guarding the territory after dark. Very politely asking to show wristbands when coming back from the beach area. Restaurants were good, we liked the turkish ala carte snacks, japanese sushi, italian restaurant had a good soup, in the main dining hall there was always plenty to choose from. Children had even their own food corner. Food is served well, all is clean, lots of fruits and vegetables too. Maybe they could have a meat station where you could order a steak, chicken breast or what ever and get it freshly baked as they have pasta station and omelettes in the breakfast. Lobby bar drinks were good, also many imported marks for all inclusive clients. Beautiful live music in the lobby every night. Night shows did not make so big impression to us. We have seen many during the years and it seemed it was still beginning of the season, same dancers with different costumes and theme almost all nights. Fire show was ok. I am sure during the season they will have more interesting numbers. Nearby Xanadu hotel is connected to this one, evening shows are common and guest can also use animation services in the other hotel. We did try archery, it was fun! We could have used their pools too, but on our side there was less people, so we just walked and enjoyed the beautiful gardens. In bars one could get non alcoholic drinks with our wristband. You can get easily to the pool area with local cars that drive around the area and take tourists up and down. We realized our choice of Xanadu Club was better for us, as we could get quickly from our room to restaurant, back to the room and to the beach. Xanadu Club is more on one level, no hills, no need for car rides, all is close by. We swam mostly in the sea. It seemed warmer than pools. There was one heated pool, but it was not very deep. There was always a lot of space by the beach and free sunbeds to choose from. If it was a it windy they give you walls to put up around you. Weather was good, +21-25, sunny during our 11 night stay. We went to water park last day, it seemed fun for kids and not only. Convenient as it is for free for the guests and you can walk in. Animation team seamed to be mostly russian speaking, allthough the archery teacher was polish, a nice girl and she spoke good english. They could use more latin music during the day to cheer up the atmosphere. Animation team was rather peaceful, did not invite to activities much. Day before we left, one girl came to invite us to some activity first time. We tried the spa too, allthough it does not belong to the hotel, they rent the facilities. Their sauna was hilarious. It was really big, high ceilings, warm, but not too hot. I am finnish, love saunas and realized they forgot the water. So we took a bucket of water to throw to the rocks. Then it got warmer. Nice and relaxing. Until the administrator came to tell one can not throw water on the rocks. It is dangerous, forbidden. I guess the company who installed the sauna stove had warned them just in case. It was typical sauna stove and we always throw water in Finland on it. Massage was disappointment, woman worker did not have much strength, it was like stroking a pet. Man worker was bit better. He showed the woman how to massage as I asked for more power. We were having a couple massage at the same time with my husband. We visited Dolphine show 4km from the hotel. Dolphines were nice, the soundsystem is terrible, you cant hear much and the lady is not a professional speaker, repeating same frazes all the time. They also want to make only business, even during the show. But...after the show we got to swim with dolphines for 10 minutes which was awesome. We paid for it of course and even bought the video, allthough it was expensive, but it has been nice to show it to friends. Experience I would love to do again. Good memory for the rest of my life. We booked tickets straight from the Dolphine show via internet, they picked us up from the hotel. From this hotel you can walk to marina and buy all trips your travel company will try to sell you. For example the trip with the boat with glass bottom. We bought it through our agent and we were told to walk to the marina. We got to snorkle on the trip too. So the location of the hotel is ideal if you want to do snorkeling trips or scubadiving. Just 5 minute walk to Marina.
Especial thanks to Mr Metwaly El Saied, Food and Beverage Manager of Xanadu Club Hotel for excellent customer service, personal interest and attention. There is a man in the right position. Devoted, friendly, self-sacrificing. His workers also told us they learned everything from him.
Overall, this year was such crazy with extreme weathers, cold and lots of cancelled flights, we are happy we chose Egypt and got to be in sun, enjoy good food and drinks, as well as the beautiful pieces of nature, colorful fish and dolphins! Thank You Xanadu Club for a good holiday."
