"Another Fantastic Stay at Four Arabesque Villas
I honestly don’t think I can explain who much we LOVE the Fort ❤️
We’ve stayed at Four Arabesque Villas before, and once again, we had a fantastic and very enjoyable stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly well looked after. The staff throughout the resort are extremely hard-working, friendly, attentive and always willing to go the extra mile. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble.
A special mention has to go to the team at Club 159. The service was excellent throughout our stay, the soups were particularly good, and the bar snacks were also delicious. The portion sizes at Club 159 are also very generous, so you certainly won’t leave feeling hungry.
The coleslaw was one of my favourites, and the dauphinoise potatoes were also very good. The espresso martinis were really good, as were the strawberry daiquiris. We also really enjoyed the apple pie and ice cream, which were delicious.
Yusury, Abdul Abraham, Abdullah Mohammed and Hakam from Club 159 were all extremely attentive, friendly and welcoming. They always made us feel looked after and were a real credit to the resort. Hakam always called me “Miss Alina”, remembering guests names makes you feel very special 🥰.
The evening entertainment at Club 159 was brilliant. The lady leading the entertainment really got everybody involved, singing and dancing, and created such a fantastic atmosphere. On our last night, the staff even joined in with us, which gave the evening an extra-special touch and was a lovely way to finish our stay.
We also want to mention Mohammed, who worked tirelessly to keep the toilets at Club 159 in excellent condition. He was always friendly and welcoming. The cleaning team throughout the resort are also extremely hard-working, and it really shows in the cleanliness and presentation of the resort.
Adults-Only Buffet
We also really enjoyed the adults-only buffet section. The choice of soups was consistently very good, and the rotisserie chicken was particularly delicious. There was also a good selection of fresh salads, and the Indian corner was always excellent and something we really looked forward to.
The only area where we felt the service could be slightly improved was with the drinks. At times, it could be a little slow, although this didn’t detract from the overall quality and variety of the food.
Breakfast and Dinner at the Pavilion
Breakfast at the Pavilion was brilliant. The Eggs Florentine were my favourite, and the sparkling wine at breakfast was a lovely touch. Mohamed and Romany were both extremely attentive and friendly and always made us feel welcome.
We also went to the Pavilion a couple of times in the evening for dinner and really enjoyed it. The soups there were very good, and we also enjoyed a couple of the specials, including the chicken cordon bleu and the beef steak. The rose petals on the table were a really lovely touch and made the evening feel extra special.
We also enjoyed having breakfast delivered to our villa one morning, which was really lovely. The eggs were still perfectly runny, and there was a great selection of pastries and fresh fruit.
Beach Service
The beach service was another highlight. Faoud was fantastic and incredibly attentive. He made sure we always had the drinks we wanted and, impressively, remembered our preferred drinks every morning. The beach team were very pleasant without ever being over the top. Even though we didn’t have a red flag out, they respected our space and didn’t constantly approach us, which we really appreciated.
The beach itself was beautifully clean, and the grounds throughout Four Arabesque Villas were immaculate. You can see how much effort the extremely hard-working teams put into keeping everything looking so beautiful.
Villa & Housekeeping
The housekeeping team were also excellent. Our villa was always beautifully tidied, the minibar was kept well stocked, and the toiletries provided were very good.
We loved the thoughtful touches in the villa, including the sarongs, sun hat, beach bag and shawl. There was also a floatie in the villa for us to use, which was a lovely addition.
The minibar selection was very good, with Pringles, peanuts and crisps provided as well. These little touches really do make a difference.
The laundry service was a really, really nice touch too. Being able to come home at the end of our holiday with clean, freshly ironed clothes was a bit of a treat and made coming home that little bit easier.
La Piazza
We also enjoyed a meal at La Piazza, where Ahmed was fantastic. He was very funny, remembered what drinks we liked and provided excellent service. We particularly enjoyed the Bolognese there.
Massages, Beauty Centre & Gym
We had three massages each during our stay, which we paid for, and they were all very good. The massage staff were professional and attentive, and we really enjoyed the treatments.
We also visited the beauty centre and had a fantastic facial, which was at a very good price. The gym is also well equipped and has everything you need for a good workout while you’re away.
Medical Care
I did unfortunately need to use the resort’s doctor’s clinic during our stay, where we saw Dr Mena. The service was very quick and efficient, and I felt much better after just a couple of days, so I was very pleased with the care I received.
We also had to visit El Gouna Hospital. Although the ambulance cost considerably more than we had originally been told, the hospital itself was very quick and efficient. We were seen promptly and received the care we needed, which we really appreciated.
A Couple of Suggestions
One small suggestion would be regarding the Club 159 bar snacks. We enjoyed them so much that it would be lovely if they could perhaps be incorporated into some sort of afternoon snack service from around 4pm. We do appreciate, however, that the staff are extremely hard-working and need to get the kitchen ready for the evening dinner service, so we completely understand that this may not be practical.
The sparkling wine at breakfast was another lovely touch. It is a little disappointing, though, that it costs €7 at dinner, as it would be lovely to be able to enjoy it in the evening without the additional charge.
One point that is in no way a reflection on the resort itself, but may be useful for other guests: be mindful of the pharmacy operating from the resort. We found that the prices were considerably higher than those charged by chemists outside the resort, and we noticed stickers being placed over the original prices.
It is worth noting that the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) has a formal pharmaceutical pricing process covering both locally manufactured and imported medicines, with the approved price forming part of the regulatory process. EDA guidance also requires the price to be shown on the outer packaging of pharmaceutical products. With that in mind, guests may want to check the price printed on the packaging and shop around before purchasing medicines from the resort pharmacy. There are chemists outside the resort that charge prices in line with the EDA and can also deliver for a very good price, so it’s definitely worth comparing prices.
We also enjoyed the friendly LIFEGUARDS working around the beach. One of them was particularly helpful in finding some really nice shells and stones for us, which was a lovely personal touch. They also do an amazing job ensuring guests respect the beautiful corals and sea life.
Overall
Overall, we genuinely felt very well looked after throughout our entire stay. The staff are what really make Four Arabesque Villas so special. They are extremely hard-working, consistently friendly and attentive, and always seem willing to go that extra mile to make sure guests are happy. I didn’t want to leave.
We enjoyed ourselves so much that we’ve already booked to return next year, this time staying in one of the private pool villas, and we’re already really looking forward to coming back.
