"I travelled alone with my 7-year-old daughter, and we felt very comfortable and safe at Sentido from the very beginning. What really stood out to us was the entire staff: from housekeeping to the waiters, the restaurant team, the bar and pool staff, and the management. The hotel has many employees, and everyone works hard while still greeting guests with a smile. They are friendly, attentive and welcoming, and this made us feel completely at ease.
After just two days, our drinks were already waiting for us at lunchtime without us even having to order them, because the staff had remembered what we liked to drink. It is exactly these small details that make a stay special.
Our room had a few small cosmetic flaws at the beginning. After I mentioned this, I was immediately offered three alternative rooms. In the end, I decided to stay in our original room because the location was simply fantastic. Within just a few minutes, we received a new fridge, and the next day the small issues in the room were also fixed. That was truly excellent service. The rooms are not brand new, but they are very clean, well maintained and lovingly prepared. We especially loved the towel animals, which made us smile every day.
The staff at the bar and pool area were also extremely kind and attentive. We were regularly offered drinks and snacks and really felt well looked after throughout our stay.
The food was fantastic. It was always fresh, tasty and varied. There was something for everyone, and every evening there was also fresh grilled food. The kitchen team, the service staff and the management were all very present, friendly and helpful. Overall, this hotel gives you a 100% feel-good experience.
In the evenings, there is a pianist playing beautiful music at the hotel. If you do not want to hear it, you can simply close the balcony door — but honestly, that would be a shame. If you prefer a bit more action in the evening, you can walk about three minutes to the neighbouring Reef Oasis hotel. There is often a live band, as well as a mini disco and evening shows. We watched two of the shows, and they were really good.
One small point of criticism would be the kids’ club and children’s entertainment. I have experienced better and more motivated animation teams in other hotels. The children’s activities at the beach, which were offered twice a week, also did not fully convince us. For example, one activity involved dressing up and wrapping the entertainer in toilet paper. That was not really our thing. This is one area where the hotel could improve the children’s programme and make it a little more varied and engaging.
The house reef is absolutely stunning. We saw a turtle, rays and countless colourful fish. Friends of ours even spotted a small shark. If you do not want to go directly to the house reef, you can still see many fish close to the beach, especially around the small rock formations. The Sentido beach section is separated on the left from the Reef Oasis hotel area and is marked with blue towels. Drinks are brought directly to your sunbed there — pure luxury.
If you want some daytime entertainment, you can join the animation activities or simply watch. It is fun and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
The famous Farsha Café is also very close by. Children are not allowed inside the main café area, but you can still have a drink on the upper platform. There are also plenty of shopping opportunities nearby. As a woman travelling alone with a child, I felt safe outside the hotel as well and had no problems at all.
We also went on several excursions, which made our holiday even more special. During the Pentecost holidays, there were many English, Italian and Russian families at the hotel, but not many German guests. The children still played together wonderfully.
The adjoining aquapark was also nice and fun. You can see that it is a little older in some areas, and some parts are currently being renovated. However, we did not notice any safety issues — it was mainly visible wear and tear, such as older pool paint or slightly dated areas.
Overall, it was a wonderful holiday for us. The service, friendliness, food, cleanliness, house reef and atmosphere really convinced us. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for families, but also for single parents travelling with a child."
