"Clean rooms and pool area kept well. The building was a bit tired in places but the staff made up for that. Great bar staff especially Mohamed( Antonio) and Mohamed (Jimmy). Lots of staff around pool suggesting treatments and activities but have a system of flags if you don’t want to be bothered. Breakfast staff nice and the omelette throwing chef was a sight to behold! Snorkeling trip on speedboat from the beach was excellent as was Museum and old town."

"Me and my wife stayed at Barcelo early October. We stayed in one of the swim up rooms for our Honeymoon, we like Sharm and stayed last year at a different hotel. We found Barcelo by chance and liked the fact it was more private, we were not disappointed. The hotel is amazing, we stayed at the Sheraton last year but Barcelo out shines by far. Staff are amazing, they cannot do enough for you. Please respect staff and the hard work they put in when in Egypt. Most are away from families and put so much hard work in so you have a nice time. They work long hours so you can put your feet up and relax. Some all inclusive the food becomes the same and monotonous, Barcelo make sure they don't follow suit, chiefs cook fresh daily and take pride in there work. rooms are kept so clean and the young lad who cleaned ours 5101 was so nice and friendly. The beach was beautiful, I would suggest more sun loungers so people could get one. But not like other hotels, they do not allow people to save spaces which i think is a good policy. I have read reviews saying the hotel needs updating, I would disagree. The hotel cosmetics is not a priority when you have staff like you do. Noise levels are good, peaceful. We did not get involved in the party side of things but that is there if you like to party. Location is perfect, mountains, sea. Visually beautiful, I would suggest if you can the swim up rooms as you don't have to worry about saving sun loungers, you have two of your own and can have them lazy days in the sun. Lastly, when going to breakfast, lunch and dinner. Walk into the restaurant and walk through the children's area and find a waiter by the name of Mostafa Ahmed, I have stayed at some high end hotels but this guy is amazing. He manages his section like no other, great interaction, great with kids and knows your drinks for each meal. I cant thank him enough. He made our Honeymoon, amazing employee and Barcello should be proud to have him working for you."
