"We went as a family in October half term. Overall we really enjoyed it.
We'd booked a Superior family garden room. When we arrived we were taken to a block near reception, two floors up a dark staircase and down a dark corridor. The room had a bathroom (with no lock!), double room (just big enough for a double bed and side tables but no other furniture), and a twin room with the balcony off it and a desk and single chair. the wardrobe for the double room was in the hallway. The next day I was looking at one of the resort pages on FB and room photos people had posted and it looked like had been given a standard not superior. I asked at reception and was told that we had a superior but that I could be shown another room if I'd like. I went to look at the room; it was in a smaller block and it was much bigger and better set out, with comfy chairs in the twin room and a sofa in the double room -which also had the balcony. We packed up and swapped. I'm sure we were put in the wrong room initially but we were swapped and it was OK. It was a bit hard with the language barrier but the staff were really lovely about it (don't expect them to speak perfect English).
The main pool was really nice (not heated). The barman at the pool bar was friendly (the fresh lemonade is so nice). The water slides are open 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm. They really need more rings - some people kept hold of them and there was always a queue for them. Some kids were trying to skip the queue to grab them. The lifeguards on the slides were good and very friendly. Some of the lifeguards at other pools seemed to be mainly for decoration. We also tried the kids pool (very cold), one of the pools in the block (not heated although the map said it was) and the indoor pool (heated). We didn't really go to the beach much but that was definitely busier than the pool area.
Food wise we thought it was really good. We only went to the main restaurant for breakfast and dinner. There was a lot of choice - they clearly cater to lots of different cultures so there are all sorts there but something for everyone. It did get very busy, I would imagine it would be worse in the height of Summer. We tried to eat Turkish food whilst the kids mainly had pizza, chips, spaghetti etc (they weren't the only ones) or cereal, waffles, pancakes for breakfast but they loved just being able to get what they wanted. The desserts were amazing - loads of baclava and cakes etc but probably not much for kids. It would be great to have an ice cream bar maybe for the kids. Also, it would be great for the Turkish food to be identified amongst all the rest. The coffee machines were not great. A bit disappointing not to get proper Turkish coffee or tea. We didn't go to the a la carte restaurant.
We always got lunch at the snack bar (pizza, chips (really nice chips!), onions rings, salad bar, jacket potato, pasta, soup, chicken etc) or the one nearer the beach (gyros, sandwiches, chips, ice cream). My son spilt a load of chips trying to serve himself. I went to ask for a broom and someone came over to clear it all up, wouldn't let me help and were very nice about it.
The waiters who brought drinks ranged from completely not interested to really great, cheerful and dedicated. One (Gokhan I think, he was mainly upstairs) was particularly great and deserves a special mention.
The barman at the beach bar would make my son a chocolate milkshake with chocolate syrup and milk, even though it was not officially an option there; one time covering it with almost a whole can of squirty cream - which he loved!
The site itself is huge. It has loads of trees and landscaping, which would probably keep a large part of it nice and cool in the Summer but I can imagine some of the rooms may be a bit dark if they were too close. It didn't really bother us.
Belek is about 20-30 mins walk away - not worth waiting for the bus or getting a taxi. We took a private transfer to see Roman ruins at Perge, Aspendos and Side - $160 for the day, organized by our rep.
Overall I would recommend going there based on our experience. I can't comment on all the rooms as it seems that there is a massive variety in type and quality but we all enjoyed our stay."
