"Large Taxi Transfer from the Airport. Very pleasant check in, with a glass of bubbly to boot.
We sat and enjoyed the view of the sea, before we headed up to our room. Lovely Suite - With a large balcony, and as "My Favourites" A full Mini-Bar, Bottle of Fizz and water to welcome us.
Our first visit to the Dining Room was confusing. The area set aside for "My Favourites" was full of tables for 2. The only two Four tables, had couples sat at them. We wandered round and found a four, and chose to sit there for the next two breakfasts, and two dinners.
The food was plentiful and warm.
Plates were HOT and the Fruit Juices in the morning were FRESH and tasty. Great Variety in food and the Chef who was preparign Food to order was always happy to help.
Many, many kitchen staff assisting in refilling food constantly - right up til 10 mnutes before serving completed.
Entertainment was much and varied. Aerobics in the pool in the morning - Great Fun apart from the "Massage" between attendees. (Quite uncomfortable). Darts, Rifle Shooting... quite the selection all day.
In the Evenings Bingo, music, dancing. I think there was a quiz but we were out and missed it.
The beds were so comfy - Rooms cleaned every day. Sheets changed when you asked, same with Towels.
Staff were all very lovely, and helpful with the exception of one incident.
Sitting for the 6th Time at the table in the dining room, while my husband and daughter were getting their food - a Waiter SHOUTED so very loudly at me, that EVERYONE TURNED. "YOU CANNOT SIT THERE, IT IS MY FAVOURITES", I turned my band, and he said "BUT EVEN THIS IS NOT MY FAVOURITES, THIS IS CLOSED AND READY FOR BREAKFAST".
I turned to him and said "There are no four seats in that section over there. There are no four seats any where".
He turned and SHOUTED at me again. "We would have put the tables together for you". I said to him, "You could have said all that without Shouting at me, there was no need for Shouting at me". He said, "But I have to tell you", and I repeated, "But you could have done this without Shouting". And he said, "okay you can sit there" and walked away.
My husband and Daughter were very concerned. I was shaking from the fright.
After that, we made sure we asked a waiter to move tables together for us, and asked for assistance every night, so that I did not have to endure another reprimand. We avoided him as much as we could from then on in.
This one incident in what was a beautiful holiday and very lovely hotel.
Wee Shout out to Marco - who mixed our cocktails and make us laugh even though he'd have prefered to be at home. He was great!"
