"Hotel V, Sharm El Sheikh – Where Do I Start?
I have been a regular visitor to Egypt for the past 25 years, travelling to Sharm El Sheikh, Luxor, Taba and Hurghada, and staying in many different resorts.
Last year, while staying in Nabq Bay, we decided to spend two days at The V Hotel to visit our daughter and grandchildren. Despite the hotel catering predominantly to Russian and Italian guests, we were incredibly impressed by the entire resort—from its location and facilities to, most notably, the food.
With 25 years’ experience as an operations manager in hospitality, running high-volume restaurants in London, I can honestly say the quality, variety, and consistency of the food was exceptional and truly stood out.
In January 2026, we returned for a fabulous 12-night stay with my fiancé and his mum, Christine—and even managed to convince his brother and family to join us from Australia for seven days.
On arrival, one of the receptionists recognised us from our very short stay the previous Christmas and reassured us that we would be happy with our panoramic room (4028), while our mum was comfortably accommodated in the main hotel (247).
Arriving late at night, we were amazed by the extensive buffet offering still available well after midnight—something rarely seen elsewhere.
From start to finish, the staff were outstanding. Everything ran like clockwork; every team member clearly understood their role, took pride in their work, and genuinely appeared happy in their jobs. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
I was genuinely intrigued to know who was responsible for delivering such consistently high standards across every aspect of the resort.
I don’t know if all guests felt like VIPs, but we certainly did!
Manager Zein Ahmed looked after us during our first week with exceptional care and attention, and Manager Mohamed seamlessly continued this level of service during the second week.
They even arranged for us to meet Mr Sameh Fayed, the General Manager, who clearly commands respect and inspires his team to maintain these outstanding standards. I believe Mr Sameh Fayed has a unique ability to ensure this resort continues to grow and excel; the respect his team clearly have for him is evident throughout the hotel and reflected in the exceptional standards maintained across the resort.
The whole team were amazing—from housekeeping and pool staff to the bar team, spa, restaurant staff and chefs—but we would especially like to recognise a few individuals who consistently went well above and beyond the call of duty.
A special mention to Mohamed, the pizza chef at Sea Salt, who not only delivered outstanding, exceptional pizzas but did so with a huge smile every time. He is a genuinely lovely man who clearly takes great pride in his work and always seemed so happy to prepare pizzas for me—it was an absolute pleasure to watch his passion shine through.
We would also like to mention our young room cleaner. Although our experience didn’t start off perfectly, he listened to feedback, took it on board, and within just three days proved his dedication to his role and his commitment to ensuring we had everything we needed. Each day, his creativity in making towel animals—with a different twist every time—was a lovely and thoughtful touch that brought a smile to our faces.
A huge thank you to the Spa Manager, who was always happy in his role and ensured our whole family had the best spa experience ever. Therapists Marian and Este were exceptional, and I cannot forget my fantastic haircut in the salon—it was perfect!
Guest Relations – Victoria, Milana, and Fayrouz Gaber (Rose). A special mention must go to Rose, who personally showed us around multiple properties across the whole resort. She is an incredible young lady with so much passion for her job and so much more to give. We are excited to watch her career develop to the top—she most definitely has the drive, skills, and personality to go all the way.
Amr, Supervisor of the lifeguards, led his team with professionalism and genuine care, supported by lifeguards Mohamed Ramadan and Moham, who were always attentive, friendly, and reassuring.
Lastly, a huge thank you to Mr Ahmed, the Bar Captain, for the continuous exceptional service our whole family received throughout our stay. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail never went unnoticed, and the fact that he even came to personally bid us goodbye before our departure truly meant a lot to us. It perfectly reflects the genuine care and high standards that define The V Hotel experience.
The V Hotel truly sets the benchmark for service, food, and overall guest experience in Sharm El Sheikh. We will most certainly be back. In fact, we are already looking at early January 2027 so we can bring our four adult children and their partners to experience this fabulous resort for themselves"
