"The hotel is in a fantastic location and the building is beautiful and historic. Our room was fairly small but very well equipped and clean. The hairdryer was absolutely useless and cut out after ten seconds meaning you then had to wait a couple of minutes for it to cool down before you could use again. Absolutely not fit for purpose so bring your own! Breakfast was a little disappointing- the buffet area is small and is located right by an entrance to the street so very congested. We found going down late, we had to wait for refills, clean bowls etc. It is also worth noting that the hotel is really popular with cruise companies and they can monopolise some of the facilities. For example, one afternoon , we wanted a drink in the bar only to find it closed to guests as it was being used for a cruise group. This should not really happen and is unfair on other paying guests."

"We booked one night because we had to catch a very early flight back home. We checked in a little early and our room was not ready which was understandable because they were very busy. We were offered an upgrade to a suite for an additional low fee so we took it. The room was large, bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed using the bath tub. The mini bar was not complimentary, but the prices were low. I was extremely upset that I could not get the electric outlets to work in the morning to make my coffee. I followed the directions. The lights worked so the outlets should have worked. We absolutely loved the restaurant. I am a huge art deco fan it was beautiful food was excellent."
