"I have stayed regularly at this hotel and have always had a good experience. It's a good, well situtated, comfortable hotel. I was disappointed that there was no advance warning that the swimming pool and sauna area was closed. There are facilities that usually make the stay here better than elsewhere. I was also very surprised at the €35 each charge for breakfast, this despite the promised but non-existent discount of 10% for being an IHG One Rewards Member. It was only a long tiring journey to Berlin and an outside temperature of -15 celcius, caused me to avail myself of the in-hotel breakfast. The bar staff were non-smiling and seemed disinclined to want to bother. It was unsurprising that a number of guests seemed to be consuming shop bought bottles of beer in the lobby area."

"I spent 5 days here in December 2025. I have mixed feelings about the place. What I liked: • Get the breakfast. They had an enormous breakfast spread. Lots of sweet and savory options. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, there was sparkling wine. Didn’t know this was only weekend item, until breakfast on Monday morning. Staff were very busy, clearing plates and getting people quickly seated. • Location. As many have said, there are a number of transportation links nearby. Also very close to a lot of shopping and even some Christmas markets. • Pillow Selection. – They had a pillow menu. But it can take awhile for the pillow to be delivered. • Room Darkness. – Fairly dark. Only a tiny bit of light from under the door. • Quick Elevators • IHG welcome. I’m a beginner level but was welcomed specifically. There were treats in the room to welcome us by name and a free drink at the hotel bar. • Lobby was nicely decorated for Christmas season. Meh- • TV/Room entertainment – There are a lot of channels, but not many English channels. The TV beeps very loudly every time you maneuver through the menu or push a button for volume. Lots of hotels have the ability to stream your own YouTube or Netflix content. This would be a welcome addition for visitors not fluent in German. Additionally, when checking into our room, the sound was wired into speakers playing only in the bathroom. We had to call front desk, and someone had to come and physically re-connect wires from the wall to the TV. It’s a weird thing for your first hour in the hotel. • Although our reservation was for 2 people, we were charged a second person fee, and had 2 welcome snacks, we were only given one robe and pair of slippers. • Towels, I asked for an extra towel, but had to keep asking for it. The default is 2 big and 2 hand towels regardless of who is staying in the room. I had to leave a note with a tip to make sure I would get an extra towel. • Don’t pay for the city view. We were on the top floor and had paid extra. Not worth the money. • The pool was cool, but not unbearable. One of the showers in the ladies changing room needed a mold remediation in the seams of the shower. • Our room has a drinks mini-bar included. But it wasn’t in the room, you had to check in at the fridge by the front desk for drinks. Handy for drinks, but it felt like asking for parents permission every time. • There were 2 vending machines. 1 was missing and the other was practically empty. Very sad no snack time on a Sunday when everything is closed and no room service. ☹ Improvements • When arriving at the hotel, please tell me the features and times. I had to ask about the pool/gym hours. No information given up voluntarily. • If you have 2 people in the room, stock it accordingly. If I ask at reception for extra towel, please note this. • Shower only had hot or HOTTER. There was nothing below hot. No cool or even medium warm. We left a note about this with reception at checkout."

"The king bed had no big blanket. it was very small single blanket. And on the breakfast buffet only regular milk. no oat, soy or almond milk. Alternative Milks are nowadays even found in every low cost hotel."
