Fees and charges

Our mission has always been to make travel easy and affordable.

We're keeping our fares as low as possible whilst giving you the flexibility to add additional services only if you need them. 

We want our charges to be as fair as possible, so they are listed below, with a clear explanation of why they exist and how you pay for them.

easyJet is a digital airline and the cheapest and easiest way for you to book or make changes to your booking is online or via our mobile app. Our Customer Services Team is there to help customers who are unable to manage their bookings online or are in need of special assistance, so please be aware that where it's possible for you to make changes to your booking online, additional admin fees may apply if you ask our Customer Services team to do it for you. Our team will make you aware of this up front when you call us.
The following are all included in the price you see when searching for flights.
Administration fee
per booking
$0 As of 1st October 2019, we no longer apply this fee.
For bookings made before 1st October, the administration fee was included within the flight price.
Credit card transactions

We don't charge you to pay by debit card.

Infant charge
per infant, per flight
$34 Airports charge us fees when infants (<2 years) travel - this fee covers the cost. We also include an additional cabin bag as part of this fee.
Group booking

$21 The big benefits of our Group Booking Scheme are that we will block your seats together and that you can add names of the passengers later.

You can pick your favourite spot on the plane by buying one of the seating options below. If you don't select a seat we'll assign seats randomly for free when you check in and will do all we can to ensure everyone on the booking sits together. However this is not guaranteed, especially when checking in closer to departure.

Our low fares include one cabin bag free of charge. There is no weight restriction, as long as you can carry and lift your bag yourself.

Fee for any bag (per item) brought to the airport that is over a customer’s small cabin bag allowance which is a maximum size of 45x36x20cm. The bag will be placed in the hold. Any bags over 56x45x25cm fall into the ‘oversized large cabin bag airport bag fee’.

Additional weight can only be purchased online in increments of 3kgs, either at initial booking or post-booking. For 15kg hold bag you can add weight up to 27kg post booking.

When you book to travel with us, the tickets you buy are non-refundable (except set out in the terms and conditions). However, we do understand that sometimes plans change and you may need to amend your booking. This summer, you’ve got ‘Freedom to Change’ with our ‘Protection Promise’, to transfer your flight fee free at any time up to two hours before departure online in Manage Bookings, onto any easyJet flights currently on sale in our schedule and to any destination. Only if the new fare is higher will you be asked to pay the difference. See below for details.


If your trip this summer is impacted by a lockdown travel ban or mandatory hotel quarantine, we understand that you may need to change your plans. Our ‘Protection Promise’ gives you ‘Travel Restriction Protection’, so you have a number of flexible options available to you, even if your flight is still operating, find out more.
