Lefkothea Hotel

"I know this Hotel is rated 2 star by Easy Jet. I have been several times with no problems with basic. Sadly, this time was the final straw! It's obviously not being maintained to even a minimal standard. When I took my shoes off after a long journey, it was obvious the floor was very dirty! I had to clean my feet before getting into bed. Paint peeling off everywhere, cracked and shabby plaster around the windows, broken fixtures and old shabby furniture. No shower curtain so the whole bathroom gets soaked when you shower! Even the toilet roll! T.V wasn't working when I arrived, but fixed the day after I messaged about it. No English channels anyway. Often nobody at reception. Just a printed notice on the door telling you to call these numbers if any problems. The tables and chairs used for thebreakfast area are terrible! All falling apart, uncomfortable and the padding they put on all dirty and stained! No toaster in the kitchen area. Stone cold fried eggs! (I never realised until I tried to eat it) I'm not unrealistic when travelling, especially in Greece, I am familiar with the standards. But for me, this has fallen beyond that! The cleaner/chamber maid asked me on 3 different days during a 1 week stay, If I really needed room service? I felt bad saying yes, even though I wanted it! The toilet paper bins should be emptied every day! At the very least! In my opinion, the only positive is the location! Better to pay a bit more for a hotel, if you want to enjoy your holiday."

"The hotel has a great location! Just a minute's walk to the beach, where you can admire some of the most beautiful sunrises!! Also surrounded by souvenir shops, markets, restaurants, and bars open until late. Just around the corner, a half-minute walk away, there's a bus stop that goes to Fira, for example. Despite being on a main street, the noise isn't bothersome, and it's more peaceful late at night. (we stay October)The rooms are cleaned daily, and the staff are very kind and helpful. Our room also has a refrigerator with a freezer, a electric kettle too. Another important thing is the breakfast, which we are very satisfied with. This is our third hotel of this standard,but nowhere else has breakfast been served like this before. We have everything we need for a good, filling meal: fresh fruit, such as pomegranate, a salad made from fresh fruit (not canned), and vegetables, very good coffee and cookies. Everything its fresh!!There are also cold cuts and cheeses, something for everyone. The eggs are fried perfectly, in my opinion ;) Delicious tomatoes! ;).You can eat autside,in the dining garden or in your room. I'd also like to add that the hotel offers an airport shuttle, which we used and recommend, as it's very reasonably priced. Overall. I highly recommend it!!! The hotel is peaceful and has a pleasant, friendly atmosphere."

"After spending the entire season at Hotel Lefkothea, I can say that it's not only a comfortable, quiet, and peaceful place (a one-minute walk to the beach, with a bus stop right outside the hotel), but above all, a place where you feel taken care of. Breakfast includes delicious homemade fig jam, cakes, and more. Delicious coffee. The owners are helpful and friendly, and the reception responds immediately. The hotel is cleaned daily, with towels and toiletries constantly replaced. Right next to the hotel, you can grab a gyro and buy a ferry ticket. Within a 1-3-minute walk, you'll find tavernas, and promenade, grocery stores, and a pharmacy. I highly recommend it. Great prices!"
