"Main highlights - amazing staff and quality of cocktails Main lowlight - overall food quality The hotel is good all rounder and will cater for the needs of most guests, but it does not reach 5 star quality (maybe 3.5-4* is appropriate) - it feels wrong to be paying the 15eur per star per night government tax if hotel is not actually 5 stars. Good things about the hotel from our experience: -Nearly 22/7 food (quantity but not quality in most cases). - Great cocktails and drinks selection. - Free soft drinks in room mini fridge restocked every two days. - Super friendly and helpful staff - everyone from waiting staff to housekeeping! - A la carte options - much better quality food in 2 a la carte restaurants (particularly the Italian) than in main restaurant. Unfortunately you can only book them once per stay. - Free water bottles - pick up at reception - Great gym facilities - even though it's outdoors, you have all the weights and cardio equipment you need for an excellent workout. - Private beach and one long path for strolling/jogging - Great effort with Halloween decorations on Halloween - A different programme in the evening - Basketball, tennis and football courts - all next to each other. - Car rental is on site to allow exploration of the island. Bodrum is right across so a day trip to Turkey is a convenient option. - We were allowed a late check out free of charge Poor things about the hotel from our perspective (we can see the hotel admin review guest comments so we hope you use this constructive feedback to improve, which is the aim of our honest feedback): - Food. The food is very very hit and miss. The variety of food is not the best but it's okay if you're staying for a week - it's the quality of the food that brings it down, particularly in the main restaurant. On some nights many dishes were overly salty, you can tell that sometimes the food has been prepared from frozen based on the mushy texture (e.g. white fish, vegetables). Rice and pasta were pretty much always overdone. Desserts are always the same. The Chinese-themed evening was an attempt at variation but the flavour missed it by a long shot (the noodles were a letdown). One evening they ran out of the only chicken option available, so for someone who cannot eat beef or like the idea of sardines or gamey meats for dinner, there were no options left. On several nights the chicken wings and drumsticks were not fresh - it's easy to tell from the colour of bone and flavour. There is a beach bar where you can get gyros, which are tasty but not on par with ones you can buy at a gyro takeaway in Greece. Even though the selection of egg-based options at breakfasts was good, on several mornings the taste of fried eggs or the french toast was bitter and appeared dark at the bottom (likely due to the remnants on the cooking surface). Even though there is a creperie and we enjoyed a crepe on the day of arrival, the following day we found a rotting tomato and uncooked mushrooms in the savoury crepe (photo attached) so we stopped going there to avoid risk of stomach problems. The highlight was the pizza a la carte where the pizzas were tasty! Overall, you know that when you have to kill your hunger with the cold meats/cheese options in the deli section of the main restaurant, that the food isn't up to scratch. - Cutlery and crockery. The cutlery is so overused by thousands of people that have stayed here that it desperately needs replacing. Same goes for some of the crockery, that had chips on it and sometimes still had stains of drinks from previous use. This is one of the main aspects that immediately stands out as not 5 star status worthy. - General cleanliness. There is a large number of people staying at the hotel so understandably there will be spills and stains. For most part, cleaning staff are able to stay on top of it but there are stains and spills we have seen in the very main areas of the hotel including the main restaurant that have been there a while. The couches in the main lounge area are in need of cleaning. - The games tables in the game room need replacing, as the green felt looks like it's been scratched by cats."

"This was our twelfth visit to Mitsis Ramira on Kos. And yet again, we had a fantastic holiday. Everything is perfectly organized: beautiful and tidy rooms, excellent cleaning every day, and fresh towels every day. And, fresh linens regularly. The food is delicious, as are the drinks served all day at the Main Bar, Pool Bar, and Beach Bar. There are two excellent à la carte restaurants: the Italian and the Meat Restaurant. The service is excellent; you can always ask questions to the front desk staff, guest relations staff, and the various managers, who are always approachable. Evenings also feature great music and performances by various artists. In short, if you don't enjoy yourself at Hotel Mitsis Ramira, it's really your own fault!"
