"Despite some very negative reviews I have to say my solo trip was amazing. I couldn’t believe how much room the apartment had. Mine was directly looking over the pool, was lovely and clean everywhere and cleaned regularly including towels. Every member of staff were so welcoming and friendly, couldn’t do enough to help or make your stay comfortable. If you didn’t want to socialise you were left alone respectfully which I wanted but I never got the impression I was ever ignored or treated any differently to repeat guests. Drinks at the bar were very generous and cheap. I never ate at the bar but all the food I saw come out looked absolutely delicious and very generous portions/fresh. I walked everywhere and loved it. I also felt very safe despite being a lone female."

"after reading some bad reviews, I was quite worried about staying here but it turned out to be an absolute gem of a place. It was basic, but this was reflected in the price, but it was clean and safe and located in a beautiful village in the mountains. The bar and pool area was lovely. Many guests return year after year and were friendly and welcoming. The bar served snacks with more selection during the day. If you are not expecting 4 star, I would really recommend Petra Village"

"Staying here at the moment arrived very late Tuesday Evening and was told we were in a house next to a staff members house right at the top off the hill, not good if your asthmatic and have arthritic joints, it's quite a pull which ever way you go. First thing I did was check the facilities 2 forks and 1 teaspoon between 3 people. The cooker was clean the fridge too then we opened the dishwasher, full of mouldy pots!! The downstairs loo doesn't flush and the downstairs shower doesn't work!! Not a great start. We then went upstairs and the room my daughter choose was fine until we noticed blood on the sheet! The draws in our room has someone else's clothes in and my husband found a babies bottle tucked behind the cushion on the sofa full of milk that had separated. Our room has a little balcony to it the chairs on it are filthy. There's a balcony we could sit on outside if there were some garden chairs. Lots of little things add up to making our week away a bit disappointing, you get what you pay for but you expect the cleaners to check everything. When I complained about the dishwasher and bed to the owner he sorted it straight away, I can't fault that. If a bit of love and money were thrown at the apartments it could be lovely. It's just tired and needs a well earned makeover. If you've booked to stay make the best of it. If your thinking about it spend a little more and scroll on by."
