"My booking was handled confusingly. After reserving through the IHG app, I was asked to pay via an external link. IHG One Rewards Customer Service initially told me it was a scam, so I ignored the email—but my reservation was subsequently cancelled. Only after further inquiry was the email confirmed genuine, and I had to make payment through the link, which felt insecure and poorly managed. My membership at IHG entitles me to late check-out (subject to availability). At this hotel—unlike other IHG properties I have stayed at—staff did not ask about late check-out at check-in. When I requested it myself, I was told it could only be confirmed on the day of departure, and my request was ultimately not granted. While I fully understand that late check-out depends on availability, seeing on the day of departure that the same room type was still available on the app made the process feel inconsistent and poorly managed. Further, I found the overall attitude of the staff disappointing. They often came across as either grumpy or indifferent, which reinforced the impression that guest experience was not a priority at this property. Like other guests, I was also asked to pay city tax twice and on their second request, I was asked to show proof if I really had paid already. Overall, these issues reflect a lack of clarity, consistency, and professionalism. Booking through the IHG app should provide security and peace of mind, but that was not my experience here."

"The location of this hotel is very good. It is quite near to the train, bus and tram stations. It is also about 15 minutes away from the airport on foot. I give 5 stars for the location. Hotel personnel: they are mostly friendly, but they can’t speak English well enough. Actually, it is a general problem here in Nice. It is not easy to find a person here, who can talk in english. My room was also always clean. They could clean my room everyday. That’s why, I can give 4 stars to the personnel. Room: I reserved a room with a queen bed. It had everything, what I needed. It was important for me to iron my clothes and I could do that in my room without any problems. The bathroom is also big enough for a person. That is why I give also 5 stars for the room. Breakfast: well, I stayed in Holiday Inn Hotels in Germany, but I think this hotel has the WORST breakfast. They have 2-3 sorts of salamis and hams, very fatty scrambled eggs ( I can cook much more better), a bit paprika, yoghurt, 2 sorts of toast breads and bagels, some cheese and yoghurt products, which are in small plastic packages. They are mostly out of cutlery. Today I would like to eat yoghurt, but there were no spoons . If they begin to serve breakfast at 6:30 A.M and if I want to have my breakfast at 6:45 A.M., I expect to get a spoon, a fork and a knife easily. As they brought me a spoon, I was already done with my breakfast . They have a great coffee machine, but without coffee beans and milk. I would like to use it, but the waitress said that they don’t use the coffee machine for coffee. It was just for hot water. That is why I would suggest you to book this hotel WITHOUT breakfast. I would give -10 stars. That is why my overall rating for this hotel has only 3 stars. I was also hesitant between 2 and 3 stars."

"We stayed for one night before catching a flight and unfortunately there were a number of issues which we had: - On check in, my Diamond status was recognised but I was not asked which welcome amenity I wanted. I communicated my choice and the server then had to discuss with a colleague what I could take. I would’ve thought by a hotel that this would be more familiar. - There was no bottled water available at the bar. - The bar had no Rose wine (in the South of France! … went to crown plaza bar next door instead, very nice). - The A/C made zero difference to a very warm room (there was a heatwave but still, the a/c would not cool the room below 24c). The hotel was otherwise well presented , the rooms were clean and tidy and the bathrooms were clean and modern. Earlier in the visit we stayed in the city centre HI and that was a much better experience."
