The Aequora Lanzarote Suites is a sophisticated low-rise resort in an idyllic setting. All whitewashed walls and glossy palms, it’s got the Lanzarote island aesthetic down to a T, and it’s just over a five-minute walk from the sun-baked sands of Los Pocillos Beach. You’ll find a good selection of bars and restaurants a little further on, and you can hop in a taxi for the bright lights of Puerto del Carmen, which is less than a 10-minute drive away.
This is a sizeable resort that packs in a whopping five swimming pools – two are for little ones, while one’s reserved for adults. There’s also a sleek spa, a kids’ club with activities tailored for different age groups, and a packed schedule of family fun, spanning archery, volleyball and dance classes.
You’ve got three restaurants to pick from here. Two of them – Neptuno and Poseidon – are big buffet eateries which specialise in international spreads and themed nights. Head for Don Paco, meanwhile, for a Spanish menu and an a la carte set-up. A cluster of bars take care of cocktails and snacks outside of mealtimes, and one’s just for adults, with an upscale feel and a chilled-out atmosphere.
