It’s all about the views at the Carine Hotel Kumbor. The hotel pool is metres from the shore. It’s set in a palm-freckled terrace and neighboured by a paddling pool for children. Just behind it, you’ll find the sleek restaurant-cum-bar, which serves cold drinks throughout the day. There are actually two eateries to choose from here – one serves international dishes in a buffet style, while the other is a waiter service menu affair. Expect a big focus on the local cuisine with freshly sourced produce.

 

The interiors are modern through and through. Take the hotel rooms, for example. Inspired by the Montenegrin landscape, they showcase sleek wood-panelled walls, rattan furnishings and ocean-blue accessories. And in the spa, it’s very much cool minimalism in style.
