San Pietro

"During our stay at the Hotel San Pietro, our room was robbed while we slept. Our phones, credit cards, drivers licenses, cash, wallet, purse, and more were stolen. The safe was useless because it had a physical key instead of a code/keypad, and the safe and room key (also physical) were also stolen. The hotel staff/management's response was unacceptable. No one apologized or offered any real help, just blamed it on problems with immigration and suggested we go to the police. We didn't expect the police to really care or do anything except write a report. We did expect SOMEONE from the hotel to care. On that, and obviously their ability to keep guests and their belongings safe, the Hotel San Pietro fell woefully short. What's crazy is that we liked Naples and felt pretty safe on the streets, even at night. We took precautions to prevent pickpocketing and stayed aware of our surroundings. But it turned out we weren't safe in our own room. Stay elsewhere for your own peace of mind."

"It’s more like a 3 star hotel staff are friendly and helped with directions and places to see. Rooms are dated think they could do with an overhaul not the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in. Breakfast was below par so don’t bother including in your booking just grab a coffee & a pastry from the many nearby cafes."

"The staff was super friendly and helpful. This was the best part about this hotel. We chose the hotel for its proximity to the train station, which worked out well for catching a train. But at night, it felt sketchy walking in the area around the hotel. There are many abandoned buildings, dark alleys, and seemingly shady people around. Our room was run-down, the light fixture next to the bed was cracked and broken, the windows were filthy, and there were streaks of grime and hair on the floor, like it seemed like the floors were mopped with dirty mop or mop water. The normal shower head was broken, but there was a second waterfall shower head which was nice. They did provide slippers for our stay which was a nice perk to make me feel better about the dirty floor. The breakfast on the rooftop patio was decent and included."
