The Zante Beach Resort hotel has hit the jackpot when it comes to location. You’ll find it in on Zante’s longest stretch of sand, Laganas Beach, which is a popular nesting spot for the caretta caretta – a protected sea turtle. And if you fancy ticking off Laganas’ shops, bars, and restaurants, it’s just a 10-minute stroll away. Zante town, meanwhile, is within a 10-minute taxi ride.
Back at the hotel, the pool scene steals the spotlight. The main pool is a huge rectangular number fringed by loungers and parasols, so it makes the perfect place for a sunbathing session. You’ll also find a shallow pool for little ones to splash in, as well as a huge pirate ship-shaped play area. Feeling peckish? There’s a beach bar for drinks and snacks, and another bar by the pool.
Turn up the pace of your holiday with a workout at the hotel’s gym, or get involved in the hotel’s line-up of sports and activities. You’ll find a tennis court, a beach volleyball area, and a ping pong table. You can also join in with aerobics, aqua gym, and Greek dancing lessons. Little ones won’t be left out either – there’s an activity-packed kids’ club to amuse them.
The main restaurant here serves up a buffet of local and international dishes at mealtimes. There’s a show cooking station, where you can watch the chefs prepare traditional gyros and fresh seafood. And elsewhere, you’ve got the beach bar, which offers up a daily barbecue at lunchtime, as well as pizzas and salads. The hotel also has an à la carte eatery – Meze – which plates up authentic Greek dishes at dinnertime. For drinks, you can choose between the pool bar and the Vachus bar.
