You’ll feel like much more than just a room number at the Sotiris Studios, a charming, family-run complex in the sleepy resort of Svoronata. It’s less than a five-minute walk from the closest beach, Ammes, and there’s a good selection of traditional Greek tavernas in close proximity to the hotel.
The resort is lovely to look at – all candy-coloured blocks topped with terracotta roof tiles, spread among tropical gardens. In the centre of it all, the palm trees give way to a good-size swimming pool, and there’s a smaller one especially for children. Loungers and parasols are provided for lying back and catching the rays. And close by, there’s a restaurant-cum-bar for drinks and snacks throughout the day. Head here to choose from a menu of international and local dishes at mealtimes.
The studios themselves are bright and summery, with tiled floors, floor-to-ceiling windows and neutral colour schemes. Each one comes with a balcony overlooking the gardens, and kitchenette facilities for whipping up your own meals.
