A peaceful Cyprus escape with golf greens
Set in the hills above Paphos in the village of Tsada, this resort is a brilliant pick if you like your holidays with a little more breathing space. You’re surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and mountain views, which gives the whole place a wonderfully tucked-away feel, but Paphos is only a 20-minute drive away if you fancy some harbour strolls, archaeological sights and beachy day trips when the mood strikes. Tsada is the kind of place that makes slowing down feel very easy indeed.
Back at the resort, the facilities do plenty of the heavy lifting. The 18-hole championship golf course winds past ancient groves and a 12th-century monastery, with Troodos views thrown in for good measure, while the wellness centre is there for proper switch-off moments when the sightseeing legs need a kinder plan. Expect thoughtful spa touches like an ice fountain, plunge pool, Finnish aroma sauna, plus salt and steam rooms that make unwinding feel like part of the itinerary. If your holiday style leans more active, there’s also a gym, tennis courts, a yoga pavilion and a Pilates studio.
Families are well looked after too, with supervised kids’ activities ranging from arts and crafts to treasure hunts and nature walks, plus a junior academy offering tailored golf and tennis programmes for children and teens.
Food-wise, you’re very well looked after when you need a refuel. The Clubhouse handles breakfast and lunch with golf-course views, while Plateia brings a more sociable village-square feel, complete with Amaracus for Mediterranean-inspired dinners and an infusions cocktail bar for slower evenings. This place is a smart shout for a Cyprus break with a calmer postcode, a little extra polish and scenery that does a lot of the showing off.
