IntercityHotel Hamburg-Altona

"I have been a guest at the hotel for years. During that time, the service has continuously decreased, while the overnight costs have increased. The breakfast is also becoming increasingly meager; there is no longer any fresh fruit salad (an offering that has meanwhile become standard in every hotel), and ham or salmon have also been cut."

"The premises were top-notch as always – clean, well-maintained, and very pleasant. The staff was also attentive, friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately, the vending machine was broken during my stay. There was no possibility to get drinks in the hotel, and not even a small selection was offered at the reception. I would have wished for better preparation or an alternative solution here. Overall, however, a pleasant stay, with room for improvement regarding the beverage supply."

"We had a nice, very clean room. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good; a somewhat larger variety in the sausage, cheese, and fruit selection would have been desirable, however. Due to the direct proximity to the train station, one could reach all destinations quickly and easily. Due to the proximity to the train station, the windows had to remain closed at night because of the noise. This was, however, no problem since the windows were well insulated and there was a well-functioning air conditioning system."
