Exe City Park Hotel

"Exe City Park Hotel is in a wonderful location. It is mere steps from the main train station and tram stops. It is within easy walking distance of the Old Town. Despite the busy nature of its location, the hotel was exceptionally quiet, probably due to the double-paned nature of the windows. They even provided extra pillows on request. It has a nice bathroom arrangement where the toilet is separate from the sink and shower, so two people can use the facilities simultaneously. However, we found the internet to be extremely slow. That’s the only reason we subtracted a star."

"Travelling by train, we chose Exe City Park for its location more than anything, just 2 minutes' walk from the station. It's also within walking distance for us (we are avid walkers) to all the tourist sites. Our room was small, but perfectly acceptable for a 2-night stay. There wasn't a lot of storage space, but we made do. The bed was comfy, and although on a busy street, the noise didn't keep us awake, even with the window open. Bathroom fine, with the door also separating the toilet from the rest of the bathroom. Good wi-fi. The lobby had mint- and lemon-water available at all hours, and pastries on occasion too. Good value for such a busy city."

You can tell he truly cares about the guests’ experience. He anticipated our needs, answered every question with a smile, and even followed up to ensure we were comfortable. His combination of professionalism and genuine hospitality was absolutely remarkable."
