Established in 1958, Cohen & Massias are Gibraltar's largest exclusive jewellers and watchmakers with four branches on the Rock, including two on Main Street at 52 and 143 (cohenandmassias.com).

Gibraltar shopping is concentrated on Main Street where you can find everything from cut-price electronic shops to British high-street chains. This is also a good place to find bargain perfumes. And a pint of ale, as well... there are several pubs to choose from, as well as snack bars, for eating on the go.

For a terrific concentration of shops, head to the ICC building just across from Casemates Square. As well as BHS, there are plenty of intriguing small stores here, selling everything from sportswear to jewellery and baked goodies.

Running parallel to Main Street, the pedestrianised Irish Town is home to an eclectic mix of specialist ironmongers, idiosyncratic shops, Irish pubs, historic cafés and fine restaurants.
