This one-time gardener's cottage makes a quirky destination. The set menu (with options available for veggies and those with allergies) is impeccably local and seasonal, although the communal seating will not be to everyone's taste. The five-course lunch or dinner is always delicious.

For their first venture outside London the esteemed Galvin Brothers have taken on the fading dining room of the Caledonian Hotel and lifted it up into fine-dining heaven.
