Here you’ll enjoy the perfect blend of Atlantic and Saharan winds as you take part in a whole host of watersports.
Heavenly blessed with earthly beauty and home to thirteen protected natural areas, twenty four volcanos and countless jagged mountain peaks, it’s easy to see why the whole of Fuerteventura has been declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Corpus Christi is held mid June. Preparations will be seen days before as locals of all ages paint the streets with biblical pictures. Many streets are lined with flowers. When completed Catholic children take confirmation and then walk through the pictures in their beautiful clothes.
Visit Cofete on the south west of the island, probably the best beach on Fuerteventura. Hire a four wheel drive or book a tour bus from Morro Jable. It gets hot so make sure you wear sunscreen.
