Le Distrait
From minimalist interior to mystic drinks with matching desserts, Le Distrait has all the ingredients for a too-cool-for-school watering hole. Each cocktail contains a hearty dose of imagination. Try the Der Zauberberg, with fir tree liqueur, vodka, sage, pear and cane sugar.

La Sardine
Tucked away behind the busy streets of Belleville, the terrace of La Sardine is a suntrap with the feel of a sleepy village in the South of France. We'd suggest arriving early evening to secure one of the cute coloured chairs. You might pay a bit of a premium for the idyllic location, but it's worth it for the atmosphere alone.

La P'tite Soeur
As a rule of thumb, the higher you hike up those Montmartre hills, the steeper the drink prices. La P'tite Soeur, however, is the happy exception to this rule. On Wednesdays, join the locals for an "apéro fruits de mers". The oysters are priced at just one euro, so they inevitably become an essential part of the evening.

L'Orillon Bar
If you're tired of French wine, hotfoot it to the (not quite) dive bar L'Orillon, where you can sample some organic beer from the city of Bourges. It's even cheap enough to get more than one round in. The pint prices and quirky decor (including adorable outside drinks shelves and floral, seventies-style armchairs) keep the locals happy until late.
